Just Okay

Maybe it was just a bad day for the waitress and the chef but I ordered the daily special (prime rib) and wifey ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. My plate arrived and you could tell it had spent way too long under the heat lamp (maybe someone else had sent it back?). After several minutes the sandwich arrived cold, slightly... More

Appalling service. My partners food came 15 minutes after mine. No apologies or excuses. Vegetables were tougher than the leathery meat which was the dish of the day. Multiple complaints from all parts of the establishment were met with angry indifference. Don't waste your money!

It's a fun place to go. Went with friends Christmas Eve. I've been before, the food is not really my type of food, a little too heavy for me. Service is very good.

Was in Santa Monica on business and stopped in here for a drink and this place is legit. I lived in the UK for a short period of time and the owners, staff and it appears..many of the patrons are from the UK. I felt right at home with the dart boards, UK beers, British accents and all the football... More

My husband and I have been driving by Ye Olde King's Head Pub in Santa Monica, CA for decades but we never tried it until last night. All I can say is, we really have been missing out. From the minute we walked in, we were treated like old friends. We didn't have a reservation, but the hostess sat us... More

My best mate from Torquay, Devon loved to eat at Ye Old King's Head, and deemed it so close to home it made him melancholy. While I was befuddled at the appeal of mushy peas, I did love the authentic flavor of the Queen size Fish & Chips. On a busy night, the ambiance was punctuated by the humid vinegar... More

From biscuits, chocolates and candies to soap bars, tea cups and fruit jams, you can find all kinds of things here. Lots of the brands of the edible items don’t ring a bell to me but they reminded me of what I have seen in vlogs from some British Youtubers. What makes this shop more special than what it already... I found this place quite by accident yesterday morning and stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast was good but then returned in the evening for dinner and was disappointed. I had the Scotch egg and fish and chips. Very average and for a so called English pub, very below par.

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
