The food we had was not good, the ladie's bathrooms not taken care of - and when we complaint about that, the manager didn't really seem to care.

Guiness pie and Fish 'n 'Chips! Great beer selection! A terrific historic decor! A very welcome change from the blinged-out Promenade tourist and homeless musician fiasco.

I always enjoyed coming here for dinner as it was very convenient walking from my hostel to here. The meals particularly the Steak, Guinness and Mushroom Pie and Chicken Pie were beautiful, I could have not asked for any more. I enjoyed the dessert too. The staff were always very friendly and welcoming. Enjoy playing spot the celebrity with all... More

We went to the pub side of the establishment. It felt very british. It was a very laid back atmosphere. It is great to watch sports and drink a beer.

We loved the food here, very British, but the history of this place is what we enjoyed. Take a stroll around the restaurant and see the photos of some of the people who have visited this icon and you get a sense of the stories that took place over the years. The staff here are wonderful.

We looked at the menu for breakfast and thought that it would be a good place, with tables outside in a nice location. We were a party of 4, the restaruant was not too busy with empty tables outside and hardly anyone inside, but when we asked the waitress, who, like me was English, for a table outside, not only... I went there purposefully to have the fish and chips which I'm happy to say wasn't a disappointment, it wasn't bad at all and would happily go back and eat there again, my friends all had the pies and they were happy with their choice also. Great menu and deserts are yummy.

This bar has been in Santa Monica for years. And it's basically the same. it's a good place to grab a beer, and maybe a cocktail. But the food is not so good. If you're looking for just a bar, no frills in the tourist area of 3rd St., this is your place.
