This is a beautiful restaurant in Santa Monica with nice ocean view. Def. a nice dating place. We had mahi mahi and salmon. Salmon was good but mahi mahi was dry and boring. The food is not bad over all, but I expect better for the price range. more

This is NOT a fine dining restaurant. We called ahead to find out what type of attire would be suitable and were told that they are a cross between fine dining and family. We were on a walk in Santa Monica and happened to see this place and made a reservation for later that night (Friday). Overall it turned out to be a good choice. Ocean Avenue Seafood has alot of potential. The location is good and some of the entrees are tasty. It's too bad that the service is so poor, the portions are so small, the prices are so high, and the people at the very top don't seem to know or care how inconsistent the restaurant is. Seafood doesn't get much better than this. I had lobster and my fiancee had tuna & salmon. Absolutely nothing wrong with the mid-afternoon meal with excellent service in delightful surroundings. Excellent wine list with a bottle price for all occasions. Highlight of our Santa Monica visit. more
