Great Happy Hour

Met with the UC Berkeley Alumni there. Place has an outdoor patio in the back (surprise) - great prices for Happy Hour for drinks and food. Fun area to meet in. Kinda well kept secret

I and family and friends have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. Collectively, I have been at this restaurant more than thirty times. The restaurant is not the typical restaurant found in most American cities; it is an authentic Polish restaurant. The menu is authentic Polish cuisine. The prices are not cheap but they are not high,... More

This is not strictly Polish food. You will find schnitzel, spaetzle, and other foods if you are not into stuffed cabbage, pierogis, potato pancakes, etc. But love yourself for a meal and enjoy as many food options as you can. We were there in a group of 6 so we shared several starters and mains. The waitress was wonderful. She... More

I was taken here for my birthday . My brother was visiting from out of town. The food was like our Mother used to make. The ambiance, service and food were all outstanding. It is a small restaurant but there were tables for parties of 6 and even 10 set up. You do need reservations

The food for sure definitely quite authentic, beer is great, as I have been to many E Europe countries hence I can tell even I m not a polish but several cons: 1. Portion is small for American standard especially the appetizer, like its potato pancake, only 4 small slices. Side dish for roast duck charging $24 before tax and... More

What a terrific place to dine. Located in a beautiful old house and decorated like something right out of Warsaw with old world touches but modern beautiful Polish art on the walls. Seating in several dining rooms that feel like you might be in Europe. That is the backdrop now on to the great menu that offers dinners a wide... More

We wanted to try something different and it was delightful. Got a salad sampler for the table and that was devoured by four people in no time. Ordered a second and we gobbled it up. Next, pickle soup. I had no reason to be nervous - it was delicious. Also great were the lamb dumplings, the pieroghi - have no... More

Been by this place hundreds of times but until now, was not a patron. Great homey feel to this place with as it might have been a house at one time . Service was friendly, quick and unobtrusive. My group ordered several dishes but I had the Pork Schnitzel which was perfect , nice portion and sides too. We split... More

Have been eating at this Polish gem for several years. The ambiance is white table cloth but I have picked up food or eaten an early dinner in jeans. The food is excellent, especially the hot borscht soup which is only offered seasonally but my favorite of all on the menu, usually available in colder months. Schnitzel is very good,... More

I've lived in Santa Monica for many years and have visited this restaurant a couple of times for special events but had never dined here per say. It's only a couple blocks away from us, so one night we, on a whim, decided to check it out. We weren't particularly dressed for a night out for dinner nor did we... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
