Great burgers! more

We live in Santa Monica, and I have been to The Counter about 6-7 times. Honestly, we don't know why people would think the burgers are all that great - it's probably because you can at least create your own. They're merely okay. The service is invariably slow. The build your own burger place starts with good meat and adds a nice compliment of add-ons. There's usually of special burger of the month, which can be veg, or fish. Always a line to get in (20 minutes to an hour), loud. more

Went one night for dinner with a friend. Ordered two glasses of wine, the fifty fifty (sweet potatoe fries and onion strings) and we each had a burger. It was delicious!! The fries and onion strings were great and the burger was juicy! The only minus was the dessert. We ordered a brownie to share and it was so overcooked... more
