Amazing Guac

Dropped in for a quick dinner and were able to sit at the bar which was really good. Service was great and we were probably in the right place at the right time, but the bar had 2 extra beers that no one wanted so we got them free of charge! The Guacamole was delicious! Definitely recommend

** Please vote this review as helpful at the bottom if you liked it / helped you. Keep me reviewing on Trip Advisor** I Love Mercado. Every time I go it's a great experience. The Jalapeño Margarita is absolutely the best. The food is delicious. I love the Steak - but I really don't think you can go wrong. Chips... More

Really great restaurant that we visited on a friend's recommendation. Kids (9 and 15) wanted to go back. Best guacamole we've ever had. Kale salad, steak, carnita tamale were excellent. Located right in the middle of the shopping area.

Greeted and seated immediately for our reservation Sorta loud but we sat upstairs where it's less noisy Happy staff that knows the food and menu Fish tacos, carnitas, fish special and guac are really really good. Mexican food: More foodie and hipster than authentic. Kinda hipster but comfortable and the food is way good. Only negative is negotiating the horrible-heinous... More

Got introduced to this place by my cousin who has visited the Hollywood location numerous times and I couldn't be happier. This place boasts a number of tequilas and has a fantastic cocktail menu. The Guacamole is amazing and my husband or I always gets their Mexican Kale Salad. Like it says, we will definitely be back soon. Oh, and... More

All the popular authentic Mexican fare in a casual, chill, comfortable surrounding. The Carnitas is good, so is the Enchilladas. But dont forget the Guacamole. A great place to bring a date or business associate.

Mercado is pretty good. Not "Very Good." I wish there were a rating between average and very good. But this place is nicely designed and has great food. It is in walking distance to the Farmers Market and The Grove, which makes it a good alternative to the packed restaurants in those two places. Mercado is worth a visit.

Brunch here was just WOW. I’m glad we don't live nearby because I’d probably spend half my budget here eating all day, every day. I love the fact that they use reclaimed wood and old metal scraps to furnish the dining room. I love that they “politely decline substitutions.” I love their extensive menu of exquisite-sounding brunch items. I loved... More

My husband and I had an early dinner (5:45) as we were going to a show. First of all, we were ignored by the wait staff for about 10 minutes, until the owner came over to ask if we had been helped. We finally saw a waiter, but had to ask twice for water for the table. The demographic of... More

My husband and I went to Mercado on a Friday night. I made reservations earlier in the day on OpenTable. We were promptly sat and our server came to use within a few minutes. We ordered the guacamole and chips and we each had an order of the Chicken Mole Enchilades. The guacamole was chunky with avocado which I love.... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
