It is one of the best restaurants in Santa Monica. We tried 15 of the dishes, some were just tasty , a few - beyond any expectation - superb. If you are a gourman don't miss this restaurant.

We really liked the food and service at this restaurant! Our favorite was the lemon and ricotta gnocchi, and the bacon popcorn, yum! Other dishes worth trying is the chargrilled peas. Would visit again!

This place is marvelous! Food and service were terrific and the beer list superb. I started with pigs feet after a lengthy description by our server. They were delicious. We continued with whole fried snapper presented vertically. It came off the bone--we used our hands and the breading was a treat in itself. Our server pegged me perfectly and suggested... More

Came here for dinner on Saturday, luckily we booked online at the last minute otherwise we wouldn't have a got a table What can I say about the food, it was amazing I had the swordfish and my girlfriend had the shellfish pot and we decided on a side of asparagus. Simply lost for words about how good the food... More

The whole fried dish is probably one of the best dishes that I have ever had. Prices are a bit on the high side, and reservations are hard to come by if you don't plan at least 2-3 weeks ahead of time, but it is definitely worth it. If you can, try to get seated on the back patio -... More

With a top rating for area restaurants in Santa Monica, we had high expectations and were not disappointed. The high energy bar and dining room set the scene and the creative menu provided an interesting selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. I particularly enjoyed the Bruschetta, Charcuterie & Chesse selections recommended by our server. The dry-aged ribeye for two was... More

Small plates and large, traditional foods with unique additions. The oxtail dumplings are little bursts of joy and deeply flavorful. The wine list is unique and lovely, and the staff make choosing wine approachable. No pretense here! The wines were so noteworthy that we have often left this place and ordered the wines online. Make reservations, it gets packed early... More

Everything on the menu is creative and delicious. Servers took time to explain the menu. If possible, try to sit on the patio as the restaurant can be quite noisy. Favorite- bone marrow (and taking the bone home for my very happy dog) and the whole fish for two. It is now our "special occasion" go to restaurant.

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
