Pizza Madness!

Okay, I'll admit it, I Love Pizza, my girls Love Pizza, who doesn't Love Pizza? How else can one get some fresh dough, laid out with awesome tomato sauce, fresh veges, meats and cheese, baked to your liking and served up with a smile? No doubt a good pizza is something to share with your... read more

I have written a positive review about this place in the past. Came here last night. Service was slow and bar staff really lame. They were chatting up guys and not interested in serving customers. Strongly lets down what is a good place. With poor service, this place seems overpriced and over-rated. Having wannabe actors behind the bar is never... More

While I was out in Santa Monica for business, I stopped by Stella Barra after a long day for a quick bite to eat. I sat at the bar and the staff were extremely friendly. My co-workers who live in Santa Monica said it was the best pizza in the area. The bartender recommended a few of the best selling... More

Came here by chance as always go to M Street next door. This place is a better option for food. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and fun to sit at the bar, which is the center of the room. Pizzas are tasty, though I don't get the big crusts. Kale salad excellent and finally worth the time and money. All in... More

Getting together with old friends not seen in over a year, 7 of us sat down for dinner and had a great evening; here's why. On a weekend evening, expect Stella Barra to be busy. They only do reservations for parties of 6 or more Otherwise, it is first come/first serve as you wait for seating at the bar or... More

I was visiting Santa Monica with a work colleague and stopped by Stella for dinner. Having flown in that day from the east coast, we had to wait until 5 for them to open, but luckily, there is a small take out area between Stella and M street (they share a kitchen). Haven eaten at M street, we ordered the... More

I had a superb green salad with buttermilk which took me back to growing up in Germany. The sourdough bread was superb. I had a local santa monica beer - which the waitress refilled as she thought the salad was slow to come... Service was nice and warm, attentive, and lively. Nice bar scene, mix of locals, cinema folks, and... More

Tried for the first time on a friday night, was very busy. We waited for a table, but decided to do take out instead. The pizza was very good, but it was small. we also tried the meatballs for appetizers and that was good. I would definitely try this place again. But would try reservations before going. If they took... More

The pizza was fresh and decor was cool and casual. The menu had lots of interesting vegetable side dishes available. The portions were perfect for 2 people to share with was nice because we were traveling and didn't want to carry leftovers home or waste food. Service was good on a busy night. Well done.

Fun - with lots of different choices. Everyone is friendly. But sometimes closes early (before midnight) if not busy.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
