Wasn't expecting much...

Looked a bit of a dive from the outside but I really fancied a cocktail so went in. We sat upstairs on a grubby table and looked at a sticky menu. To my surprise the food and drinks were both brilliant. The 36oz margarita for $17 was a bargain (and was the only drink we bought there all... read more

Service felt very prompt and not very welcoming. Sat in the outside section and was waiting my entire visit. The waitress was very inattentive and didn't service us at all. All in all, waiting to order, forgotten food and none existing service had us kept for three and a half hours which is a lot for a quick taco. Our... More

Before I even left the UK I had found the Cabo Cantina website and was determined to have a super large cocktail and umlimited mimosas!! So I did and I met a great new friend there too. Great place, great atmosphere, brilliant food and drink and the staff are amazing:)

Lovely atmosphere, really nice place, good big drinks, food was also tasty, only problem is that is missing some music on the terrace. Nice clients as well, easy to get in touch with people! :)

Try the Megarita you won't regret it. The food here was sensational and the atmosphere is a cross between traditional Mexican cantina and sports bar and it works perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive and looked after all of our needs. Well worth a visit when in Venice Beach.

We had one the the worst customer service ever from the waitress! It is understandable that the place was moderately crowded and loud but we didn't feel welcomed and well served at all. The waitress was rude and rushing us to order and pay right away. I wasn't too sure what was the reason behind that attitude but let's say... More

We had ordered two different kinds of margaritas(one blended and one on the rocks) - taste for both was like non-alcohol drinks. The waiter promised that both contain 2 shots of tequila, but the taste was just like water with syrup and ice.

Had the three enchiladas and they were very good. Tequila sunrise and margarita also good, but not high in alcohol. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. We'd visit here again.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
