Delicious Dinner!

We enjoyed dinner at the M Street Kitchen. It is a bustling restaurant with choices for everyone. Don't miss the bakery counter for delicious cookies and brownies. They also have gluten free cookies!

The food used to be good; not so much any more. The two groups who seem to like it are the 20 year olds. Maybe they come for the booze. And lot's of parents with toddlers at happy hour. If you are not in one of these two groups forget it. Seriously bland uninspired food with service to match.

This place has a fantastic brunch/breakfast menu! There's a bakery connected as well that serves fresh baked goods that are to die for. I love the peanut butter cookies with sea salt. Definitely a must on a Saturday morning. If you want something healthy try the sunrise breakfast burrito. Afterwards, go walk down the street to the Farmer's Market that's... More

Went there for breakfast and loved it. We were four at the table and all left it happy. Many options at a fair price and great taste.

Many places to eat breakfast on Main Street in Santa Monica; picked this one based on its looks, and it proved a happy choice. Comfortable indoor dining, good service, good food. I would visit again.

We went with friends for Sunday brunch. Slow and inadequate does not describe how bad the non service was. Syrup comes out after pancakes are eaten. One of our group requested a latte 4 times..And once she was rudely informed that the barista was backed up and busy..Well guess what? It's Sunday brunch..be ready for a crowd! Our waitress told... Walked here from hotel. Got seated right away but waited forever for server to come and take drink orders. Server was friendly, seemed understaffed. Sat outside under heat lamps, hard to have dinner conversation at times due to loud car traffic right by restaurant. Food pretty good but nothing to rave about. Had a dinner salad with chicken, glass of... More

I had breakfast at the M Street Kitchen while I was out in LA on business. I had some work to catch up on in the morning so they were nice enough to give me a large table so that I could have my laptop and breakfast on the table at the same time. They sat outside on the patio... More

At weekends be prepared for a shirt cue, but there are few better locations that M Street for brunch. The food is lovely, but nothing special although there is a nice atmosphere and service was pretty attentive.

Whilst staying in Santa Monica, friends and I went for brunch. It gets quite busy at weekends so be prepared to wait. However we only had to wait 30 minutes. Once inside the service was good and the layout is attractive. We ate off the brunch menu. I think the overall consensus was the place was great but the food... More

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
