Great neighborhood place worth finding

The restaurant is south of the center of Santa Monica. It is filled mostly with locals. Outside seating was great as you get the fresh air and there is a enough of a divider to keep you apart from the sidewalk. Main Street is a little noisy however. My fiance and I decided to have dinner at the M Street Kitchen. We were seated outside and because where we were place outside was slightly on a hill, we were sitting on a slanted table. Not a big deal but a little annoying. I had a cocktail with Ginger Beer and it was very delicious. But my waiter came... More

I have eater here twice now, once for brunch and once for dinner and loved it both times. Great menu to choose from - fun atmosphere, in Santa Monica close to Pico. Great choice for any meal. A favorite.

While visiting our son who lives nearby and introduced us to this great spot, we enjoyed a couple of breakfasts and were pleasantly surprised to have an excellent dinner as well. Would certainly recommend it, especially for breakfast/lunch which is certainly their forte!

Heated patio for breakfast two days in a row. It was great. Staff were lovely, and food was yummy! Had the eggs bene the first day over the hash browns instead of the english muffin. Eggs were perfect! Second day had the french toast....brown sugar coated, whipped (real) cream, and berries. Fantastic!

The weather was warm enough that we could eat outside. A little off the beaten path so very pleasant. We shared a endive/Asian pear salad and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were very good. Prompt service.

On 2 trips to Santa Monica we have used this a s abase for breakfast. You can sit in or out depending on the weather, taking in the sites and sounds of the area and have great food in a laid back environment, ideal for vacations.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
