Lunch or pastries, you can't go wrong. This is our go-to place for desserts to take to friends, or a quick gourmet lunch. Great sandwiches and the best quiche. Period.

There is something comforting about getting in line here and wanting to order everything on the menu - traditional turkey, tuna, brisket, eggs, BLTs and divine desserts from ccokies to moist fluffy layer cakes. Everything is fresh, flavors are balanced and yummy. The line will snake out the door on weekends and it can be annoyingly crowded, but I've always... More

In planning my first trip to LA, I consulted a blog post written by one of my favorite food bloggers, who recommended Huckleberry Cafe & Bakery in Santa Monica, among other destinations. I also cross-referenced a book, The New York Times' "36 Hours USA & Canada" West Coast edition, which listed the Bakery as part of their suggested itinerary. The... More

Just had brunch here. There were approximately 50 people in the queue which reached out of their back door, so we knew it would be good and we were not disappointed! We had the foresight to order two dishes we could share: the fresh granola with honey and fruit salad and a veggue burrito, bursting with scrambled egg, avocado, onions... More

Great healthy and not so healthy options, went here for breakfast and sat out front on the sidewalk with my dog. It's a lil pricey but worth it for the high quality and organic ingredients. Ice vanilla latte alone is worth the trip back. Had the green eggs and ham, perfect amount of food.

We had lunch here recently, and I wondered why the line went through the store almost out the back door. It is a bit pricy for lunch, but the food was worth the wait. Intricate salads, awesome sides, and large desserts were sharing worthy size. Seats seem to magically appear as you arrive at the front of the line. A... More

I always stop in Huckleberry when I travel to LA. I love the sandwiches. The Maple Bacon Biscuits which sound profane are actually delicious. The donuts which I am not such a fan of were featured in the TV show "Bones."

Ordering green eggs and ham was a good choice but the hash dish was disappointing as it was very soupy. I should have ordered the breakfast sandwich instead of the hash/ We also ordered cookies to go and they were delicious. It was very crowded and we had to line up, but we easily found a table in this crowded... More

I used to live in Santa Monica, and frankly I think this place is a little overrated. It's trendy (Jennifer Garner was there the last time I went), but overpriced, and the food I've had has only been so-so. If you go for breakfast or brunch, you stand in line to place your order (sometimes for quite a while--it gets... More

I came here with my family on the way to LAX, and arrived a few minutes before they opened. When I ordered I explained that I saw they had homemade English muffins, and noted that the menu board listed an egg sandwich. ( their "egg sandwich " contained fried eggs and had all sorts of cheeses, sauces and other ingredients... More
