What is it with people that like to stand in line for 30 minutes and then wait another 20 minutes to get a cappuccino and a croissant? I really think that there is no excuse for a Cafe and Bakery Shop to have such an unbearable and slow service. This is not a restaurant where you are sipping wine and... More

Huckleberry was an excellent choice for breakfast while in Santa Monica! The espresso was excellent, bakery items were out of this world (I highly recommend the blueberry corn cake) and the breakfast items were delicious and wonderfully portioned! Everything is local and made fresh to order. I wouldn't skip this place if you are in Santa Monica!

Huckleberry serves a great selection of breakfast options ranging from granola to a full cooked breakfast. All of the food is organic and the bakery is on the premises. You have to line up to order your food and pay at the counter before you get a table. The wait staff are great at assisting you getting a table and... More

Lunch or pastries, you can't go wrong. This is our go-to place for desserts to take to friends, or a quick gourmet lunch. Great sandwiches and the best quiche. Period.

There is something comforting about getting in line here and wanting to order everything on the menu - traditional turkey, tuna, brisket, eggs, BLTs and divine desserts from ccokies to moist fluffy layer cakes. Everything is fresh, flavors are balanced and yummy. The line will snake out the door on weekends and it can be annoyingly crowded, but I've always... More

In planning my first trip to LA, I consulted a blog post written by one of my favorite food bloggers, who recommended Huckleberry Cafe & Bakery in Santa Monica, among other destinations. I also cross-referenced a book, The New York Times' "36 Hours USA & Canada" West Coast edition, which listed the Bakery as part of their suggested itinerary. The... More

Just had brunch here. There were approximately 50 people in the queue which reached out of their back door, so we knew it would be good and we were not disappointed! We had the foresight to order two dishes we could share: the fresh granola with honey and fruit salad and a veggue burrito, bursting with scrambled egg, avocado, onions... More

Great healthy and not so healthy options, went here for breakfast and sat out front on the sidewalk with my dog. It's a lil pricey but worth it for the high quality and organic ingredients. Ice vanilla latte alone is worth the trip back. Had the green eggs and ham, perfect amount of food.

We had lunch here recently, and I wondered why the line went through the store almost out the back door. It is a bit pricy for lunch, but the food was worth the wait. Intricate salads, awesome sides, and large desserts were sharing worthy size. Seats seem to magically appear as you arrive at the front of the line. A... More

I always stop in Huckleberry when I travel to LA. I love the sandwiches. The Maple Bacon Biscuits which sound profane are actually delicious. The donuts which I am not such a fan of were featured in the TV show "Bones."
