We had Sunday breakfast last weekend at Huckleberry...our new favorite place when we visit Santa Monica! The line was fairly long and the seating was limited but as we approached the checkout we were escorted by a charming and friendly server who found a table for us. Healthy, organic, unique and delicious homemade pastries, salads, sandwiches, and desserts and espresso.... More

We had breakfast last weekend in Santa Monica. We arrived mid-morning to a line of about 12 people. That wasn't terrible as we had time to look at all the menu items, specials and pastries. Before we ordered a waiter checked to see how large our party was and then left. When we had ordered he took us to a... More

Food was excellent & healthy. We had fried egg sandwiches which were served on home baked bread topped with arugula & fresh bacon. Fresh squeezed OJ was really good. This place is pricey (like most places around here, though). $55 for 3 for breakfast. The annoying thing about this restaurant & others like it is the assumption of a tip... More

Organic, seasonal, local, excellent! If only every restaurant was just like Huckleberry! We had breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. The dishes we ordered were combinations you would never think of putting together - spaghetti squash and eggs? But it worked! Delicious fresh dishes. You have to add mouthwatering pastry to your meal. All divine. And you don't have to... More

We had a great breakfast at the Huckleberry Cafe! The green eggs and ham were outstanding, as well as the breakfast sandwich. I like the order at the counter, casual atmosphere. We tried several bakery items an all were good, but none were the best we had ever had (we live near Della Fattoria in Petaluma, they are hard to... More

Read the great reviews of their pastries so decided to give them a try. Ordered the Coffee Cake, Pumpkin Tea Loaf and Lemon Bar. The Coffee Cake and Pumpkin Tea Loaf were very good! Tea Loaf our favorite. The Lemon Bar was too sweet, both the filling and crust. Too bad as it had very good lemon flavor. We plan... More

Visited before a performance at the Edye. Wonderful selections of salads and sandwiches for a light, casual dinner before our curtain. will definitely return and save room for dessert.

We visited twice and can attest to the quality of Huck's breakfast (eggs, bacon, English muffin), Heuvos Rancheros, granola with yogurt, and fruit, and cinnamon doughnuts. Great coffee. Very popular so get there close to opening if you can.

Went there for breakfast whilst at Santa Monica and the food was excellent. Brekky burrito was tasty and filling and they had decent coffee which is hard to find in the US. It's a very trendy place with a younger hip crowd but is quite tiny when it comes to tables so get there early. The options for young kids... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
