Let them eat cake…and bread…and salad…and...

Loved this place. Totally worth the wait in line. It's not a fancy place, but it does serve delicious food that is sourced thoughtfully and prepared well…if not with a little too much salt and sugar (but that does make stuff tasty…er). Highly recommend.

Sunshine, the Pacific ocean just down the street and astonishing fresh bread, pastries and great main courses make this place a must if you're in Santa Monica. Actually its worth the drive from anywhere in LA. Love this place on Saturday morning.

Go early! The line is often out the back door, but the staff is helpful and works quickly to clear and reset tables as soon as one opens up. This is definitely not a quiet, relaxing café to come and have a leisurely breakfast. Come, enjoy the interesting and tasty varieties, and then move on to allow others to do... More

Great breakfast within a busy and very casual environment. Food is tasty and nicely presented. The Huevos Rancheros were phenomenal. Kind of expensive for breakfast but worthwhile.

Excellent breakfast food. I can't say enough of how fresh the basil pesto was, loved the prosciutto, and the eggs were perfectly over easy and runny... If you want high quality ingredients and a perfect way to start your morning in Santa Monica, then come here. Pricing is reasonable, but not cheap.

My husband and son set up a complete Mother's Day celebration staring at Huckleberry Cafe, we arrive at a perfect time because we just did 15 min on the line to order, we have a brunch menu, and we have the duck confit with eggs, the breakfast sandwich and for my son the cheese eggs and toast, and a Pavlova... This is all that everybody has said below. I enjoyed the food, but it wasn't cheap. The place is noisy and fast moving, it's not the place for a relaxing breakfast or to read a newspaper or magazine. The thing that I found very annoying was having ordered my breakfast, it probably took a another 15 minutes of queueing in... More

We stopped for breakfast before heading out on the Pacific Coast Highway and it was a great way to start the day. There's complimentary parking in the back, which is great, and the inside has that classic American deli feel - with blackboards for each of the different menus. It was a little too early for us to eat cake... More

We had Sunday breakfast last weekend at Huckleberry...our new favorite place when we visit Santa Monica! The line was fairly long and the seating was limited but as we approached the checkout we were escorted by a charming and friendly server who found a table for us. Healthy, organic, unique and delicious homemade pastries, salads, sandwiches, and desserts and espresso.... More

We had breakfast last weekend in Santa Monica. We arrived mid-morning to a line of about 12 people. That wasn't terrible as we had time to look at all the menu items, specials and pastries. Before we ordered a waiter checked to see how large our party was and then left. When we had ordered he took us to a... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
