Limited Selection of Very Good Pastries

Read the great reviews of their pastries so decided to give them a try. Ordered the Coffee Cake, Pumpkin Tea Loaf and Lemon Bar. The Coffee Cake and Pumpkin Tea Loaf were very good! Tea Loaf our favorite. The Lemon Bar was too sweet, both the filling and crust. Too bad as it had very good... read more

Visited before a performance at the Edye. Wonderful selections of salads and sandwiches for a light, casual dinner before our curtain. will definitely return and save room for dessert.

We visited twice and can attest to the quality of Huck's breakfast (eggs, bacon, English muffin), Heuvos Rancheros, granola with yogurt, and fruit, and cinnamon doughnuts. Great coffee. Very popular so get there close to opening if you can.

Went there for breakfast whilst at Santa Monica and the food was excellent. Brekky burrito was tasty and filling and they had decent coffee which is hard to find in the US. It's a very trendy place with a younger hip crowd but is quite tiny when it comes to tables so get there early. The options for young kids... More

My wife and I and our son's family went to Huckleberry Cafe & Bakery hoping for a great dining experience, based on reviews we had read in online review sites and the excellence of the restaurant's commercially available cookbook. In short, we were somewhat disappointed. Both my wife and I had the Breakfast Burrito, with scrambled eggs, roasted onions, fiscalini... More

I wasn't very impressed with this place overall. Maybe I had such high expectations. But their scones were absolutely delicious! I got the egg sandwich with arugula and bacon and it was just ok. The bread was too hard for me. I would give this place a chance again but I'd get something different next time.

Lovely little cafe with great sandwiches and great bakery items ... It's very busy so keep that in mind ... But great hang out a little on the pricey side but not too bad

We saw a mention of the Huckleberry in the New Yorker and were waiting eagerly to try it out on our next visit to LA. We were amazed by how many options are available. We opted to select only WONDERFUL pastries for our desert that day. My, my, they are good. You will thoroughly enjoy the dining should you choose... More

Went there for breakfast today. I don't think I will need to eat for a week. Too much great food to choose from. I had the breakfast burrito along with a glass of freshly squeased Orange juice. Too good. I also could resist their baking goods. I took away a slice of blueberry cornbread cake. Extensive menu, so no doubt... More

The brisket was excellent! Everything else equally good but the must try is the gooey yummy bread amd butter pudding. Smiley face!

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
