Can't wait for Williamsburg

First time in a Umami Burger. Everything was excellent. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Three of us had three different burgers and all were great. Also try the pickle platter very interesting. They are opening in Williamsburg Brooklyn this year and I can't wait.

We previously ate at the Hermosa Beach location, and found that the food in Santa Monica is just as delicious. We had the Umami Burger, the Cali and the Truffle burger along with the Truffle fries. All tasted great and worth a return visit. The front entrance is not on the corner but half a block down the street.

Absolute Deliciousness! Truffle Burger with Truffle Fries. 5 out of 5. Hands down, awesome, juicy and delicious burger. Not over dressed and the truffle flavor was not overpowering... all sandwiched between a delicious seedless bun (i hate sesame seeds on my burger bun). LOVE! Service: AWESOME! They were super busy on a Friday night and waiter did not rush us... More

We were all excited to try umami burger after a fun day of exploring! We had the original umami burger, the sunnyside burger, and the manly burger. They were all delicious. The burgers were juicy and cooked beautifully. The umami ketchup that comes with the fries is delicious. We also had the UFO dessert- a deep fried oatmeal cookie sandwich-... More

Surprisingly tasty for a hamburger. We also had the truffle chips and they were amazing. the service was very good and it had a nice atmosphere. It was a little expensive for a burger place but was able to make you feel like it was worth it.

This restaurant came very highly reccomended. We expected it to be much better than it was. It was very "Hipster" and they were very indifferent to to their customers. The burgers were OK but nothing to write home about. Got a better burger at Steak & Shake down the treet.

Bit pretentious and broken chairs and ripped up seats, wreaks of arrogance and this is also reflected in the hap-hazard service..But...food is great and well priced... Recommended

One of the best burgers I tried. Both Oxtail and classic burger were very good. The wine by glass was Spanish verdejo wine, quite expensive but very good too. The service is prompt and relaxed. What not to love about it?

i have recently moved to the la area and have been searching for a great burger, i didn't find it here either. we just beat the rush in the door for dinner and were quickly seated inside. the tables are very close together, so i heard more of our neighbors conversation than our own. beware, everything is a la carte.... I was so addicted to Unami burger while living in the area, I was eating there at least once a week. I think what really sets their burger apart is the bun. They are so fresh and perfectly toasted. I've tried lots of different burgers on the menu and they are all fresh and tasty. Ask for diablo sauce on... More

Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
