A Classic.

I've made the trip across from Australia to LA a few times now and after finding this little gem in 2011 I make it a must do every time I am in town. This restaurant was a real treat! The staff is outstanding. The food is over-the-top and we can hardly wait to return. We had the Spaghetti squash and it was amazingly prepared. Based on the recommendation of others we got the crispy chicken sandwich and everyone was right! The sandwich was the right choice. I loved it. The only downside is... More

My boyfriend took me here for valentines dinner & drinks as we had enjoyed our previous experience so much. This past visit DID NOT disappoint! We order 4 menu items to share, tuna tartare, crispy chicken sandwich, brussel sprout salad, & pumpkin polenta. I guess I should also admit to the vanilla bourbon creme brûlée too! INCREDIBLE!!!! We also indulged... More

Returning customer because the food is so damn good. Partook in the crispy chicken sandwich this time, that is NOT TO BE MISSED. Also, good celebrity sightings and great service. (If your server is good, they'll dish on the celebrities in a very hush-hush way.)

The lunch combo of soup and salad is incredible. The Kale Cauliflower soup is among the best I have had and the brussel sprouts salad simply delicious. I had my salad with chicken - you could also add salmon or have it as is but the chicken is "happy chicken" and tastes really good. Their Happy Hour starts at noon... More

This place got outstanding reviews on Yelp, so we had to try it - needless to say, it exceeded our expectations. We went on a Sunday around 12noon expecting a long wait, but instead got seated right away. The service was unrivaled- every server was friendly and smiling. The drinks were good - even better because it was happy hour... More

Located right outside of the Santa Monica Promenade, you can grab some cocktails and snacks at the bar, or enjoy casual comfort food at a table. They offer a bunch of dishes meant for sharing, so, to start we I shared the Life’s A Choke Charred Broccoli (sweet sambal, crispy garlic, soy). Loved this. The broccoli was wonderfully cooked with... More

We've only eaten here once on Jan. 6, 2015, but here's what I learned. Tips: * Their "To Be Shared" meal on the Prime Rib French Dip Nik NIks" was not enough for two as thought. Why do they call it to be shared? You only get three on the small rolls w/ the prime rib meat on them, but... More

The name "Misfit" is perfect because there are variety of items on the menu to share. Not necessarily paired for one another but it's all tasty -- Together or as individuals. Mmmm so tasty! Try the Pumpkin Polenta, although I'd say it's not so pumpkiny -- but the pomegranate seeds add a delightful taste to each bite. Then there's the... More

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
