We had high hopes for Misfit based on other yelp reviews, perhaps it is because we come from Houston and are spoiled for choice. We ordered : one beer, one cocktail, two soft drinks, the asparagus with chervil and avocado toast as starters. Two misfit burgers and one filet mignon with fries. The avocado toast was very good, the asparagus... More

This place was a packed and happening place, food and drinks were outstanding. Try the bacon wrapped dates and the brussel sprout salad.

Atmosphere: excellent with many people all talking and having a good time on a wednesday night! Food: Very good salmon and burger! Drinks: Absolutely phenomenal. The bartenders have real talent here. If you tell them your main alcohol preference they will make a drink that caters to you. Do yourself a favor and COME HERE!!

Younger crowd, food was very good and healthy worth the wait to get in, very crowded, they gave us free cookies when we were done, drinks small but tasty. Service was great, definitely would return

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. High ceilings and a great bar and fixtures. It's right in the heart of Santa Monica, just by Third Street Promenade so location is great. We ordered a few plates to split. Avocado Toast - made with locally sourced ingredients crunchy and tasty burrata on top. The kale quinoa salad was really good and simple.Bacon... More

Steps off the promenade where there are so many mediocre restaurants, is the misfit. So excellent. Fantastic atmosphere, service, and food. The lobster nik niks are an awesome mix of textures with a delicious flavor. I've never had lobster fried that way. The brussels sprouts salad... the French fries with blue cheese... Are you kidding me?! So good. Great cocktails,... More

I ordered the lobster nik niks because the waitress said it's one o their specials, it was salty. There was nothing special about it. I thought it was just that but my husband ordered for burger and it was the same, still salty!!! I noticed also that they were giving out free cookies but we weren't offered any.

Should increase the prices. So unbelievably good. Try the dates and also the mac+ cheese that are to die for.

I was taken to The Misfit with friends and was not disappointed. The building is cool and has an awesome fit out....I think it is an old bank?? The dark old walls, the massive book case and bar...perfect. If I could design my house like this I would. The music is good and just the right volume. The staff were... More

Was looking for a lunch place for our group when we arrived in Santa Monica. So thrilled I found The Misfit. Everybody loved it. Not a bad note. Highlights included the Avocado Toast and the Tortilla Soup, and of course those salty chocolate chip cookies that come with your bill. Highly recommended.
