Great spot in Santa Monica

This was my first time to the Misfit and met friends for Sunday Brunch. The service was excellent and the food was terrific. We shared a few plates, the avocado toast with heirloom tomatoes and burrata cheese was yummy. The prices weren't too crazy and we had a great time. There was lots of... read more

This is a hip place, loud, but the food is superb. You def need reservations. Price is very reasonable for what you get. Get the short rib sliders. Bathrooms need an update, but I can live with that if the food is so good!

We ate here on a tuesday..but it felt like a weekend....it was very busy inside, outside and with people just having a drink at the bar. It has good lighting and decor. We ordered a drink at the bar before dinner which wasn't the quickest as it was very busy and noisy (good noise though). The plates can be shared... More

I went to the Misfit last night with three other women. We went early to avoid the wait, about 5:00. We were promptly seated and ordered drinks. I highly recommend the Bijou if you like Cava. For our meal, I split the large Ahi Tuna with my friend. Absolutely wonderful! We all ate the Bacon Wrapped Dates, amazing!! The other... More

The setting is great. It can be loud but it doesn't distract from your own table. The lighting is romantic. We sat upstairs. Had the tuna tartare for appetizer. Phenomenal! And we had the nik Niks and French fries with blue cheese (def add the bleu cheese!) sooooo great!

Loved this place. Great location and good service outside seating. Barbecue Salmon and arugula salad was amazing. Definitely would return.

Cannot say enough about the great food at The Misfit. While visiting LA, and employee at a store we were shopping in asked us if we were visitors and where we were going to eat dinner that evening. When we asked for his suggestion, he told us that The Misfit was where we should go and that we would thank... More

Have been here several times, and the food is consistently good. The wait can be a bit long, but the bar area is nice. At the end of the meal they bring you a fabulous chocolate chip cookie topped with sea salt. That alone is almost worth the trip!

This restaurant is such a good find. Decorated in prohibition days, so the décor is like nothing else and the service is friendly, relaxed and efficient. The food! OMG the food is just brilliant! Doesn't matter what you eat - they have it.

We eat here every time we are in town. Great selection of interesting foods & cocktails. I am a vegetarian and they had several selections on the menu that met my dietary needs. My husband eats meat and he was more than pleased. I highly recommend the mustard brussel sprouts, kale salad & mac n' cheese. Tip: When they come... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
