The experience of pitch black took some getting used to. The blind waiters do an excellent job of serving and helping you understand how to manage in the dark. I thought the food was very good (we had the steak) but way over-priced. I assume the extra expense was to pay for dark, intimate dining... read more

First off, this is not about the food; although the food is not bad at all, it is not something to write home about either. But the experience is something else! It is not at all what I had imagined. Somehow, based on some review I had thought, I'd be able to see a little...or that eventually my eyes would... More

I was out here for a conference with some college students, so I made reservations for us to have dinner here. We had a tremendous bonding experience, and we laughed a lot at our own silliness. Our "guide" was patient with us, and many of us ate with our hands. Yes, the food is food is good but not "five-star"... More

This was a really great experience - not like anywhere else we've been before. The servers were very attentive and happy to answer questions about the experience. Unfortunately though, the food really isn't up to scratch for the price. There's nothing wrong with the food itself - it's just that when you're paying around $250 for a couple, you'd expect... I was so excited to have this experience. I anticipated it for 2 years. What a disappointment. The food at this place was just short of Dennys. They tout your enlightened sense of taste, then they should give you food that it taste worthy. What a rip off, this concept has the potential to be so much more, and I... More

Would highly recommend this unique experience to one and all. I went with work friends who were a bit anxious about the whole dining in the dark experience. But everyone had a wonderful time, and are still talking about it several days later. There is something really special about stripping away our key sense of sight. It makes you highly... More

We were a party of five and thoroughly enjoyed this unique dining experience. Michael was our server and he provided us with first-class service. The food was very good and portions were generous. I highly recommend this restaurant. We all loved the dining in the dark experience.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
