The service was very good and accomodating. She was efficient and kept coming back to the table (of 9) to see how we were doing. They kept our water glasses and coffee cups filled. Decent food, fast (when you are on the road) to get in and out. There was no wait on a Sunday but the restaurant was mostly... More

Came here for breakfast after reading some reviews. OK, it's not the Ritz, but it didn't disappoint in the slightest - it was exactly what we were expecting. Great friendly service, great menu choice and great food. Would definitely recommend.

Came to boys because of the revues on trip adviser! But I found the whole thing a disappointment! The decor is very bland! The food ok! Although I'm informed by my kids the pancakes were good! And apparently on our short trip from Los Angeles to Santa Maria, we'd all forgotten how to speak English since the waitress didn't seem... More

We dropped in here for a meal after a long journey; it was recommended by staff at the nearby Day's Inn where we were staying, after we had decided that we did not wish to get back in the car to find somewhere to eat. As visitors from the UK, I loved this restaurant as it made me feel that... More

Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner (normally the weakest link for diner style restaurants), the food is always excellent. I have never had a more delicious patty melt, a defining dish for diners, so good that the french fries are perfect complements without needing to turn over the Heinz bottle. Their pies will make you more substantial if you can't resist... More

This restaurant has managed to keep the home-town atmosphere of its founders, the Williams brothers. I go there when I want a sense of home-cooking.

Stopped in at the Boys' restaurant during lunchtime on a weekday. It wasn't busy at all, so we were seated promptly. Our waitress had an odd habit of seeming to forget half of our party. When taking our drink orders, half of us had given ours and she started to walk away. We had to call her back for the... More

If you're looking for a good old fashioned diner with great atmosphere, you have found just the place right here in Santa Maria. The place has plenty of parking, it's clean as a whistle and the staff is so friendly and attentive, it's like coming home. The menu is chock full of choices...something for everyone, the prices are affordable, there... More

This is one of the places that is a little hidden on the main street (funny, it is actually off of Main Street), but you can tell that it is well liked because if always has a decent amount of people eating there. We had a party of 6 and it was no problem to accommodate us in the back... More

No, it's not the most modern or nicely decorated restaurant but the food is always good. Also, we go to The Boys on evenings where we don't want to be around a lot of noise but want to eat a good hamburger. The breakfast is wonderful and the portions are perfect. Love it!
