Hard-to-find sweetbreads are waiting

This old-school steak house is a great find. I thouroughly enjoy sweetbreads, but they are seldom on menus. The Swiss Inn (not Chalet) offers sweetbreads in addition to excellent steaks The grilled artichoke appetizer was delicious and there is a good, by-the-glass wine list. Only criticism... read more

This is the first time I actually had a steak dinner here at 'The Swiss' (that is the actual name, they dropped 'Chalet' years ago). I have had breakfast there on Sundays (great) and burgers for lunch (also great), But I decided to step out of my normally frugal comfort zone to have what many have told me is the... More

my husband is not much of a sandwich eater, but the waitress recommended the spicy patty melt burger. he absolutely LOVED IT! after every bite, he just kept saying that this was the best sandwich he'd ever eaten. it was huge, too, so come with a big appetite. their french fries were also delicious. i had their tri tip sandwich....very... The "SWISS" name is from when it was bought out from previous owner, nothing to do with "SWISS" but the meats are very, very good. Service excellent. Nice décor....Reminds one of an old family restaurant in NYC or Chicago. Can be expensive depending upon what you order but a very nice place to eat.

I have been to this restaurant more than a few times since they have remodeled. For lunch the food is great, an atmosphere nice. Menu items are great and food comes out very delicious, On a recent get together at the restaurant for dinner ( party of 10), they sat us in an arm of the restaurant, there many other... More

Great Appetizers great main courses. The amount of food they serve is huge. Be ready to bring some home. I usually get the artichoke to start. Then on to the pork chops. Had most everything on the menu and never disappointed. Highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are looking for a good meal at a great price, then this is your place. Atmosphere or romantic setting it doesn't have but fast service and huge portions it does.

We were in town for a 'celebration of life' ceremony and arrived the day before. After driving for 3.5 hours and forgetting to eat breakfast we were more than a bit hungry after checking into the hotel. My wife told me about this restaurant and since it was just down the street from our hotel we decided to give it... More

We stopped in for lunch and were surprised by the poor service. The older lady waitress was incredibly grouchy and avoided eye contact. She came to our table only once to ask 'Are you ready yet?', and again to deposit the check. Luckily the person waiting on the table next to ours offered us drinks. The menu was odd. We... More
