Good variety on the menu with lot's of salads, soups and sandwiches. The bakery sure helps with the many choices. Never have had a bad meal there. The wait during busy lunch and dinner times is OK since the food is so good.

Panera has really good bagels and homemade breads. We love Einsteins and wish we had one in Santa Maria but until we get one, Panera is a really good substitute.

Staff helped walk us through there iterations of the menu and the nuances of their ordering. 10 for the staff. Food was good, sandwich was better than the soup. A nice change of pace, but a bit pricy after start rolling all these add ons.

We often go shopping in Santa Maria as our little town has not many shops. We often stop for lunch here and have never been disappointed. The food is great, fresh and the service fast and friendly. Highly recommended for lunch while in the area.

Wonderful salads and sandwiches or try half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. Fresh ingredients and always freshly baked breads. Plus they make wonderful fruit smoothies.

When we go shopping in Santa Maria from Lompoc we usually visit Panera Bread. They consistantly have excellent food and service. All of their items are fresh and the place is always kept clean.

We stopped at this place on a drive up the California coast. Both my wife and I chose the "Pick Two" option. She had soup and a half sandwich while I had a half salad and a half sandwich. Her "Creamy Tomato" soup and "Thai Chicken Salad" and my "BBQ Chicken Salad" and "Bacon Turkey" sandwich were all very good... More

The mac and cheese is great. Their breads are fresh and delicious. You can meet a friend for lunch and they don't appear at your table to make sure you leave the table as soon as you finish your meal. Service is quick and the wait staff always pleasant and helpful.

You just can't go wrong here. It can be crowded, especially after church or noon shoppers break, but service remains quick and pleasant. The fresh bread choices, the sandwiches are made with beautiful garnish and such a variety. Yes, the cheddar broccoli soup is incredible. You have to go in separately to jave room for scrumotious desserts or rolls to accompany... More
