Even though this quintessential American restaurant is not located on Main Street, it has all the ambience of "Main Street USA." The wait-persons are jocular and friendly, and everyone is treated like a regular. The menu is extensive and the presentation is excellent. There are good specials every day. They will cook to order and you can send food back... More

A really great atmosphere and great service. Prices are reasonable and the menue has enough choises without to many. My biggest problem is (and I know because I eat breakfast out alot) the cooks don't understand the diffrence between cooking an omlett and scrambled eggs. Everytime I get the scrambled eggs they are overcooked. I have sent them back a... More

The first time I went, I was disappointed in the Chicken fried Steak. However I went back and ate an excellent breakfast burrito. The skillets are good.. The service is friendly and they keep your coffee cup full/

We were visiting Santa Maria for a few days. We found the Pantry a few blocks from our motel. My sister and I chose to split our meal. It was still a generous portion. The price was normal for a cafe. Our waitress was friendly and kept our coffee mugs full. (always appreciated by me) We returned twice more, once... More

My boyfriend had the Traditional Breakfast with loaded hash browns, bacon, scrambled eggs and he substituted the pancake for a waffle. You can request to have the waffle topped with fresh seasonal fruit like strawberries, banana, & blueberries, the latter are candied blueberries. They also smother the waffle in whip cream, but it is quite lite and not overly sweet.... More

The Pantry is across the street from the Santa Maria inn, and provides a hearty western breakfast with large platters of hot cakes covered with fresh locally-grown strawberries. Very friendly attentive staff.

Read other reviews and have to agree very good food and service. Had a skillet breakfast and could no eat it all. The hash browns were a little different as they seem to be done on a old style grater rather then cut with a shreder . Price was good and place was clean. I let the cashier know that... More

Service was horrible. Food brought with ticket. Had to flag down another server to let them know my eggs were under done. Pancakes were dry. Will think twice before going again.

My wife and I have eaten there a few times in the morning and like the better restaurants it can be busy, especially on weekends. I like the layout with the tables & booths having a comfortable distance between them. The servers we had were all above average and the food was well above average. Prices are reasonable to good.... Atmosphere is that of a neighborhood diner. The parking lot was full every time we passed which is always a good indicator for a good place to try. Great fresh food, healthy choice options, terrific wait staff, at a very reasonable price. Great value.
