The food was excellent as usual. Only place we eat when traveling to or through Santa Maria. The waitresses are friendly, make sure you always have water and check back to see if everything is ok. Highly recommend this restaurant.

family restaurant type. I ate most of my breakfasts here and is just accross from Santa Maria Inn. Staff are attentive and friendly. The food was good and great way to get me day started. Would came here for lunch or dinner, was busy though. When in Santa Maria and want a causal setting, family setting, then come on in... More

We visited Santa Maria for a 3 day weekend, and tried The Pantry on a Saturday morning. At 8am, we got right in because the place wasn't busy at all. The waitress never cracked a smile from start to finish. The food was mediocre at best. If this is one of the best choices in Santa Maria for breakfast, the... More

My adult children frequent he pantry so we all met there for breakfast. First of all beware, it is very crowded on the Saturday we visited. This is a local spot so I assumed the food must be at least decent, also based on the congestion out the front door. After a 10 min wait we were seated and ordered.... More

Even though this quintessential American restaurant is not located on Main Street, it has all the ambience of "Main Street USA." The wait-persons are jocular and friendly, and everyone is treated like a regular. The menu is extensive and the presentation is excellent. There are good specials every day. They will cook to order and you can send food back... More

A really great atmosphere and great service. Prices are reasonable and the menue has enough choises without to many. My biggest problem is (and I know because I eat breakfast out alot) the cooks don't understand the diffrence between cooking an omlett and scrambled eggs. Everytime I get the scrambled eggs they are overcooked. I have sent them back a... More

The first time I went, I was disappointed in the Chicken fried Steak. However I went back and ate an excellent breakfast burrito. The skillets are good.. The service is friendly and they keep your coffee cup full/

We were visiting Santa Maria for a few days. We found the Pantry a few blocks from our motel. My sister and I chose to split our meal. It was still a generous portion. The price was normal for a cafe. Our waitress was friendly and kept our coffee mugs full. (always appreciated by me) We returned twice more, once... More

My boyfriend had the Traditional Breakfast with loaded hash browns, bacon, scrambled eggs and he substituted the pancake for a waffle. You can request to have the waffle topped with fresh seasonal fruit like strawberries, banana, & blueberries, the latter are candied blueberries. They also smother the waffle in whip cream, but it is quite lite and not overly sweet.... More
