Simply delicious

Everything from service to food to decor was honest and wonderful, and it's not just a "steak place." Beautiful... More

Went for our son-in-law's birthday dinner. Everything was fabulous, front the Dragon Breath appetizer to the entres (our group covered the chicken, rib eye, and elk. All cooked to perfection! Just be ready with your cash because The Range doesn't take credit cards!

My wife and went here based on a personal recommendation. The food and service are both excellent. it was a reasonably warm evening so we took the patio -- good choice. The wind picked up so we did get a bit of a breeze; but still liked it. The food is excellent, with well prepared sauces. We had the prime... More

To say Range is unassuming would be an understatement. But once you enter, it's amazing. We sat outside under cover on a beautiful night. The tables are large, so they are likely to be shared with others. We ordered primarily off an extensive daily specials list which came highly recommended by our server, who was excellent. Prices are reasonable. The... More

While we can't afford to eat here every night, we have been going the Range for every birthday and anniversary for years. We love this place. While it's popularity has grown over the years, there expansion outside has kept pace with the growth. At this point, we have finally tried everything on the menu. But it was a hard task... More

Beats any restaurant in SLO. Worth the 15 minute drive. Great food and you best bottle of wine. OK - Lamb Chops, Steak and Ravioli.

Great food and attentive service in a casual setting. Word of mouth recommendation lead us here. Eclectic, quirky seating area which is relaxing. Servers were upbeat and attentive. Food was well executed - chicken was moist, steaks were hot, salads- tasty and inventive. A hidden treasure you'll want to share with others and revisit when in the area.

We visited this very busy restaurant in what seemed like a very quiet town. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but the food was excellent and the staff were lovely too. The menu sourced local produce but there was a broad and unique spectrum to choose from. Definitely worth a visit if you're staying the night... More
