Besides all the classic goodies, blueberry cheese and medium coffee is my regular order in the past 7 years living in Santa Cruz. In the store you can look at the photos on the wall and fantasizing how the shop has been run by 2 generations of the family. Every Friday they have live music in the morning! Oh. Why... More

I love their egg salad sandwich on chala. I have to get one every time I visit Santa Cruz. Their breads and pastries are delicious! Prices are reasonable.

We were going to pick up a fast breakfast on the way to the beach, and stumbled across Emily's. BFF Annette got a gluten free muffin and a smoothie. I got a coconut muffin and coffee. We ate inside the building, serenaded by a guitar player. The pastry cases were full of awesome choices. Our little meal was very good.... More

My husband and I were staying in Santa Cruz on a vacation. We wanted something quick we could grab on the morning before heading out for our day of sightseeing around the area. We stopped here and each got a ham & cheese croissant. It was seriously delicious! It was a good price considering how huge they are, too. I'd... More

Great coffee, cookies, breakfast burritos and cheese pockets. Fresh taste, not like most pastries that you find. Would definitely visit again if back in the area.

This was our second time here and it is an enjoyable place to pick up (or eat in) sandwiches made with fresh bread and the freshest ingredients made to order. Good selection of sandwiches and some interesting drink choices, too (such as a horchata shake) or just a mocha shake (which was also good). You can eat at the picnic... More

I used to frequent Emily's as a student 20+ years ago, so during a recent visit to Santa Cruz Cruz I thought I'd take my family there for an afternoon treat It's not the Emily's I remember. Stale cookies, luke warm café lattes, kind of a grungy place. We much prefered Kelly's French Bakery just down the road.

We stopped by this place for lunch on our way through Santa Cruz. It was along the road we were travelling and we stopped on a whim. The sandwiches were above average but nothing special. The service was also pretty decent. The cleanliness of the deck, restaurant and the bathrooms could probably be improved to give it a better appearance.

Hi folks, September 2013 - I am not sure what is up with the middle age male owner or manager of this place. I used to go to Emily's a lot. I don't recall this fellow, but on September 9 I sure met him and his attitude. I was helping Doug, a homeless guy down on his luck- breakfast burrito... More
