My husband and I were staying in Santa Cruz on a vacation. We wanted something quick we could grab on the morning before heading out for our day of sightseeing around the area. We stopped here and each got a ham & cheese croissant. It was seriously delicious! It was a good price considering how huge they are, too. I'd... More

Great coffee, cookies, breakfast burritos and cheese pockets. Fresh taste, not like most pastries that you find. Would definitely visit again if back in the area.

This was our second time here and it is an enjoyable place to pick up (or eat in) sandwiches made with fresh bread and the freshest ingredients made to order. Good selection of sandwiches and some interesting drink choices, too (such as a horchata shake) or just a mocha shake (which was also good). You can eat at the picnic... More

I used to frequent Emily's as a student 20+ years ago, so during a recent visit to Santa Cruz Cruz I thought I'd take my family there for an afternoon treat It's not the Emily's I remember. Stale cookies, luke warm café lattes, kind of a grungy place. We much prefered Kelly's French Bakery just down the road.

We stopped by this place for lunch on our way through Santa Cruz. It was along the road we were travelling and we stopped on a whim. The sandwiches were above average but nothing special. The service was also pretty decent. The cleanliness of the deck, restaurant and the bathrooms could probably be improved to give it a better appearance.

Hi folks, September 2013 - I am not sure what is up with the middle age male owner or manager of this place. I used to go to Emily's a lot. I don't recall this fellow, but on September 9 I sure met him and his attitude. I was helping Doug, a homeless guy down on his luck- breakfast burrito... More

So glad that, while on vacation, we made a wrong turn and discovered Emily's. Seeing so many locals on an early Sunday morning inside and outside Emily's was the first clue we had discovered a local gem. Selection was super, Emily's coffee blend was robust and the whole family found their "favorite" pastry to enjoy. Forget Starbucks - go to... More

We found the perfect place for lunch in Santa Cruz at Emily's! The sandwiches were delicious; the staff super-friendly; and the pastries VERY tempting. We ate on site and really look forward to going back next time we are in the area. Very highly recommend! Wish you were in SLO!

Emily's was dog friendly on the patio and had parking available so I gave them a try. I had a lovely chicken pesto sandwich and divine piece of berry pie. I liked the casual environment and the ability to bring in my pooch, but it could have used a good cleaning. I will go back because the food was so... More
