We watched the fog burn off from the bar at Gilda's. Where else can you have a delicious breakfast while looking out over the bay at Santa Cruz, watching everything from swimmers to paddle boarders to kayakers and surfers and sea gulls? Binoculars are provided! Service was great at the small bar. Spicy bloodys. Tasty ham and cheese omelette. My... More

I was there on a Monday and gave the special a try (Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing, & veggies). I loved it...Thanksgiving in July….awesome. The veggies were steamed perfectly and the portions were large enough that I ended up taking some home. As far as ambiance, Gilda's somewhat lacking, and it was noisy to the point of being able... We when on a thursday, had no idea they had weekly specials. They had the Prime Rib special and let me tell you, IT WAS DELICIOUS. We will definitely go back on a thursday night.

This restaurant was very busy so seemed a good bet. We waited quite a while for a table & we were served quite quickly for the first course - clam chowder. It was OK, but nothing special. The main course of fish & chips was poor & far too much. I would rather have a small portion, well cooked, than... More

We have eaten fairly frequently at Gilda's for the last few years. The restaurant remains very reasonable; prices seem to be the same as they have been. However, on our latest visit the entree portions, particularly seafood, were noticeably smaller than they have been in the past. Food was well prepared. There just wasn't much of it.

Besides the table with an ocean view there is nothing positive to report about my families dining experience here. We came for dinner - we ordered everything from Filet Mignon, Pasta to a child's plate and didn't finish 1/4 of any of it! Old food, left around too long, over-cooked, stale and lack of any originality. We ended up at... More

I tried the prawns and mussels basket. The food was fresh and tasty--a step above the typical deep fried shrimp baskets we get in the midwest.

Wow this place sucked. My sauteed prawns were in 4 inches of unflavored watery butter not once did server bring or ask about drunk refills. I had to drink my husband's sprite to finish my dinner. I will not return.

Been coming to this place for the last 30 years. Whenever we are back in the area we make sure to come in. The food is your standard diner food but it is the people. Come early and you have the same group of people that have been coming every saturday morning. Food is good with good portions..

Service here was friendly and fast. The food was typical diner food, greasy but in a good way. Large portions and reasonable prices will bring me back here if in the area.
