We walked along the pier and encountered Stagnaro Bros. Seafood. From the outside - nothing to look at - but are we glad we stepped inside! Our party of four ate upstairs by the wide open window - the breezes and view were magnificent. It happened to be happy hour - drinks $4.00 and beer $1.00. We were served fresh... More

Went for dinner there on a Monday night. Place has great views but I really thought the food should have been much better. Clam Chowder tasted closer to biscuits and gravy and the fish in the Fish and Chips was bland and tasteless. One from my party ordered Salmon and said it was very average.

When you eat on a wharf in California, you are eating at the tourist-focused restaurant. That means a seafood restaurant that does not depend on locals to support it, has ok food, caters to families, charges higher prices than usually deserved, and quickly turns over tables. All that said, we went in with our eyes open. For an adult party,... More

I'll start by saying I'm from New England. The "Boston Chowder" was pretty awful. Everyone else seemed satisfied with their food. I was underwhelmed. Go to Cafe Mare in downtown Santa Cruz at Front and Cooper streets for excellent seafood and Italian food.

The view at Stagnaros is probably one of the best on the wharf, because of it's location. We had a great view, and the crab cake was very good. The sauce it was served with is unique, and quite good. The rest of the meal was just average. It's a fine choice if you are there, but wouldn't go out... More

We enjoyed lunch at stagnaro's, we sat up stairs which is considered the bar area, the views are wonderful. Service was very good and attentive. Food was well prepared and presented attractively. We shared a blackened Ahi salad and a snapper sandwich.

We have been going to Stagnaro's at the end of the wharf for years. Weather it is summer time or winter I love to sit and watch the terrific view of the coastline when you sit at a window location. The have excellent Clam Chowder and the food is always fresh and well prepared. They give you large portions and... More
