One of Our Favorites for Years

We've been going here for years. Love the location, the specials (the Happy Hour!), the view, the Monterey Bay. It's picture perfect. So much to scenery and activities to watch. Sit back and relax and enjoy. We do! And, we like to take friends. FYI: upstairs can be a bit noisy when it gets more... read more

The positive things I have to say about Stagnaro Bros is that they have great clam chowder. Our main entrées weren't all that great though, they lacked flavor and were very bland. Our waitress was super sweet and had great customer service, but the hostesses are young, snobby, and lack in customer service.

We had two meals here and both were good. Service was good also. Will be back next trip. I had a shrimp salad which was very cold and fresh. Clam chowder had great flavor too. We had a table by the window which made our meals even better.

We stopped in just to sit upstairs and have a beer, staff was friendly and place was clean, the beer was cold ! We decided to split a appetizer and got the shrimp tacos and DAMN these tacos were amazing!! That's all we had the beer and tacos but 3 days later and we are still talking about those tacos... More

If you want Shrimp Tacos this place has the best ones I've ever had. They are a bit pricey but totally worth it! We went upstairs and sat at the bar, the service was great and the views are amazing from up there.

This is a tough call for me. I feel like almost every wharf seafood restaraunt in CA is almost always the same... just ehh. The service was good and the views from the upper part of the restaurant were really nice. The food though was just okay though. The prices are a little expensive but definitely not wallet breaking. I... More

We went for lunch midweek. We sat upstairs and the view is amazing. I took two children and we shared an appetizer. There was no alcohol and our bill was 74.00 for lunch after tip. I thought this a bit high for two kids meals, a bowl of soup and fish tacos. Prices are very high for quality of what... More

Skip the busy main restaurant. Go up stairs for the happy hour menu. Sit outside if you can. Have the beer on the menu and get some appetizers like the shrimp tacos . Enjoy the priceless atmosphere. Watch the boats and the sea lions. This is real Santa Cruz.

We stopped because we were at the end of the pier and the menu looked good. Wish we would have stopped at a different restaurant. The fish and chips looked and tasted like fish sticks, the clam linguini was very watery and the kids burger was burned to a crisp. Prices were high for what you got. Not impressed and... More

It was a Friday night but only 5:30 PM when we walked in. They don't take reservations but I was told on the phone earlier that they don't start really filling up until 6 PM. We told them that it was our anniversary and want a quiet table and they sat us in a side dining area with only about... More
