This little restaurant is a great place for lunch and the food is quite good. We have visited twice and haven't had a bad experience yet. We have sat in the outdoor patio both times and it is always a good experience. The tables are small, but the patio is gorgeous. The only downside is that the bathroom is shared... More

This place works for everyone! I had about given up on Santa Cruz as a place to accommodate everyone's palate and dietary requirements and then chanced upon this warm, charming bistro. I had a 1/2 order of the gorgeous pasta rosettes with marinara sauce and a side of mushroom soup, while my companions (meat eaters) chowed down on beautifully presented... More

We had been here one time in the past and decided to visit again for lunch. It is a relatively small restaurant, but easy to get a table for lunch without a wait on weekdays. The Sangria was excellent. The meals were reasonably priced. Everything is hand made from high quality ingredients and very flavorful and unique. As you would... More

Sat in the outdoor patio area which was quite shaded from the busy street by plants and a large canopy, so it was quite nice. However, I didn't think it was so clean and the outdoor furniture seemed a little old. The food was quite good, though. Service was ok.

Chocolate has a cute little indoor area to eat as well as a lovely patio. The patio was very inviting and a relaxing place to have a meal. The service was friendly. I had the rosette pasta stuffed with ricotta. Order this! I had it with the artichoke pesto but it can also be ordered with a marinara sauce. My... More

They make the smoothest, richest hot chocolate with a large number of variations with added ingredients - cinnamon, chili, ... As you might guess, they serve a chicken mole' entree (chocolate in the mole' sauce), but I'm hooked on the slow roast pork with mole'-like sauce. They also make quiches, salads, soups, and, of course, chocolate desserts.

We visit this place every time we go to Santa Cruz, and to be honest for the item Sofia's hot chocolate on the menu. I think we owe it to the owner to leave this review here! The best hot chocolate ever.

We found this gem while walking around downtown Santa Cruz for their First Friday monthly art festival. Or main courses included a Greek salad, and a couple of their pasta dishes. The pasta is made fresh rather than reconstituted from dried pasta, and it does make a difference. They don't have their own rest rooms, relying upon the ones at... More

We were shopping in the area and decided on Chocolate due to reviews we had read. We chose to sit outside for lunch. Was a wonderful place to enjoy lunch in a busy area tucked in behind potted schefflera plants for a neat, private garden feel. This restaurant has a Venezualian feel and food choice. We had the chicken pot... More
