Wonderful brunch on a Monday!

Returning from Monterey by way of Santa Cruz has afforded us the opportunity to dine at the Walnut Avenue Cafe. The florentine eggs were the best I've ever had. My husband enjoyed the Old Number 1 Scramble and loved it. Portions are generous; coffee delicious and service was friendly. We will make... read more

If you want to have a fabulous brunch come here. Their food is top notch, especially their Eggs Benedict. The eggs are always cooked perfectly. They do get very busy especially during the weekend and I've had to wait over an hour for a table so be prepared for that.

Solid service, great skillet meals like turkey avocado scramble. The patio is a nice spot with the few tables available. Lunch is a worthy time to visit as well, but for breakfast look no further.

We went here for Mothers Day brunch. The service was impeccable, that's the only reason Im giving 3stars. The home fries were some what burnt, and under cooked. As will as pancakes. They gave us toast unbuttered, and than have to ask for butter. The omelet wasn't very good, undercooked. And I have never been to a cafe that didnt... More

Good food. Good service. Good value. I had Juevos rancheros and enjoyed them they were good not great. My wife and people with us enjoyed it more than I did. If I could rate it 4 1/2 stars I would. Happy to go back again.

Nice American lunch restaurant. Went for the California Burger with delicious beef meat and avocado served with a nice salad with "italian" sauce and a cold American flagged Budweiser

Walnut Street has excellent food and service. It serve a fine array of breakfasts with fresh baked breads and muffins. Lunch features all the favorites. We have been there several times and it is always reliable. Good food, good service, good location in downtown and reasonable prices.

We tried this place for breakfast and was not disappointed. It was busy, but we got a table quickly. The service was great, quick and attentive. The menu had a wide selection and a kids menu, a family requirement. The dishes were served with generous portions and tasted great. After breakfast, we took a nice walk downtown. Great way to... Mid-morning, midweek in winter. Walked right in and had a choice of tables. Cheerful, very efficient service. Kind of kitschy decor. I had a scramble-- mushroom, cheese, avocado-- with fruit on the side. I didn't leave a scrap on my plate! My husband ordered the eggs Benedict, which was made more special by the use of pork loin instead of... More
