Go-To Breakfast

A great option if you're looking for breakfast/lunch - but expect to wait a bit. Love the acai bowls and banana pancakes. Went with friends and split the Pingado and it was awesome - hot coffee, warm milk, bread and butter, and fresh fruit.

We were visiting Santa Cruz and Cafe Brasil was recommended to us so we stopped on our way out of town. It was a Sunday morning, and crowded but we only had to wait a minute for a table. The menu is quite large for such a small place so it makes it hard to decide on what to eat.... More

My family and I (includes 2 teenagers) visited this restaurant on recommendations we saw online during a day trip to Santa Cruz. The variety of the food was very impressive for a small restaurant. We all ordered a different dish in order to get a different taste of the variety and all of it was excellent. Their coffee was really... More

Small, very Santa Cruzish, hole in the wall type of place with very well prepared fresh food. Huge portions, breakfast and lunch only, reasonable pricing. Be prepared to wait for a table, but it is worth it.

Cafe Brasil is great! The food was culturally - on point, and good! The drinks, smoothies and coffee were worth the price. You can't go wrong with any food choice here!

Great healthy breakfast; avocado, banana pancakes, was served quickly, fresh and without piling pig on top of everything like some places. Was happy to have gone, and would highly recommend to anyone traveling along 1 there.

Stopped in here for lunch. There were several people outside the restaurant and I was expecting a long wait, but, for two of us, the wait was brief. They have several yummy looking things on the menu and it was difficult to choose. The breakfast options seemed popular. To beat the heat, I ordered an acai bowl while my boyfriend... More

The food here is so delicious! I got the omelette with cream of chicken while my boyfriend got the beef acavelo. The acai bowl is also very delicious, we ordered it after noticing a majority of tables had one. The only thing I have to complain about is the parking, which is very small and compact, as well as the... More

The long waits on the weekend occur year round not just during the peak Summer tourist months! Worth the wait! Try to go on the weekdays if possible. Chicken or beef a cavalo, acai, smoothies!

First of all, I am Brazilian. So, please take this knowing that. Cafe Brasil have a great ambiance. I felt like I was back in Brazil. The food gives you a good hint of what food in Brazil tastes like. It is hard to reproduce Brazilian food in the States but Cafe Brasil did a decent job. Go visit. Best... More
