if you're a tourist...the locale is good and the food is ok. If you're local...then you've probably been here and there are other places to hit.

Whenever we trek down to Santa Cruz to visit our son, a trip to the Crow's Nest is always on the agenda. The food we've had has consistently been superb. Service is top notch. The fresh salad bar is immense and well maintained by the staff. Reservations are a must, especially on Tuesday night when the lobster is the day's... More

The Crow's Nest has been our spot for an early New Year's eve dinner for years and a special place to go. The view is great, the food consistently good, although they need to improve their Caesar salad dressing. You can't go wrong here and they have half priced appetizers in the afternoons (check when because it used to be... More

We picked this restaurant for our New Years Even celebration not knowing what it was like at all! We were pleasantly surprised! The food was great and the restaurant very nice. We were there at night so could not take advantage of the view. The restaurant is surrounded by windows looking out tot he harbor and beach area so would... More

We have eaten in both the restaurant and the bar area at this venue and definitely prefer the restaurant. I must admit that being served at a table with a cloth on is a preference of mine and don't expect a bar to be the same but the standard of food should be maintained in both areas when it is... I can see why people are impressed by the location....view is beautiful, breathtaking......but assuming that you're also here for the food, then it's a totally different experience. I am not a complainer, if you see my other reviews you'll see I can be picky or not at all. This was just my personal experience. That was my disclaimer. First off,... More

Long ago, when we lived in Boulder Creek, this is one of the places we went for a special occasion. We recently decided to have lunch here while on vacation ~ and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. To begin with, the menu online is $4.00 an item less expensive than when you get there and see the... More

Santa Cruz has good places to eat, and being by the ocean makes seafood restaurants plentiful. Crow's Nest is one of the truly good options for seafood. We were lucky (dining on a Monday night helps) in that we were able to get a table right away without a reservation, that is not always the case. While the prices are... More

We visited Crows Nest in Santa Cruz and right away all I can say is the bad, I rated a 3 star because the food was ok and the drinks were cold and varied. We were there and luckily it was a sunny warm(hot kinda) day, and the sun beat in on our table in a stifling hot over crowded... More
