I ordered the Chefs Choice and got a very fresh and delicious Sashimi with a typical combination of Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, Ebi etc. Nigiris with Unagi and Saba were very good!

Mobo is a favorite spot in Santa Cruz. Sushi is excellent. I can't comment on other sushi establishments in the area, as I have never felt a need to go anywhere else. Try a Bento box for a substantial meal at a great price.

I love Mobo Sushi for their wonderful Californian take on fresh sushi. Lots of fresh fish as well as citrus, cream cheese, macadamia and cashews, basil, and tons of vegetarian and vegan options. Their prices are good. Lots of rolls well under $10. The parking lot by Trader Joe's has a two hour limit. Try their ginger tea!!

We were here on a friday night and experienced the "sushi bomb on the bar-domino spectacle" Now, that really is amazing! We were surprised because if you show your i.d. you get a sushi bomb on the house. What a great, fun and tasty idea. The sushi is lovely. Very fresh. I love the caterpiller roll. They have a few excellent... More

This places is awesome. Located in the Trader joes parking lot, it is not in the light of the local tourist areas, but it is a true gem. Amazing sushi with some of the more creative items I have seen at sushi in a long time. Service was solid and if you have kids, as to sit near the giant... More

Oh I love this place. Some of the most delicious sushi I have eaten and I have eaten quite a bit. The service is just ok and it can be very crowded but I still go there every time I am in SC. Check out the rolls with macadamia nuts and basil.

This is my favorite sushi place. I got engaged here as well in 2005. Highly recommend the Macrandy Roll to those who like the ingredients (Unagi, smoked salmon, mac nuts and cream cheese) and the Sushi Rage roll (Hamachi, tobiko and shizo). Never disappoints me and I have been going since it was just a hole in the wall of... More

I've gone to Mobo dozens of times over last decade, but tonight was the last. Was served barely edible, anemic, dried out "fresh" salmon. On arrival, told the waitress the salmon looked kind of odd -- she said, "oh, that's what we got from our supplier, but we're going to change." Ate a piece, got someone else @ my table... More

For starters the reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I've really liked Mobo in the past. Enough to plan my birthday dinner to be there last night. That was a horrible idea, we got the worst service I've ever had. ANYWHERE. Origionally we told the hostess we were a group of six. About 5 mintues later... More

We went there because our GPS showed it was close to where we were, it was late and we were hungry. We were seated next to a huge fishtank that provided endless entertainment for our 8 & 9 year olds. The food was great - we got a "Banana Slug" - it was very creative in looks as well as... More
