We did a 2.5 week tour of California visiting San Fran, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, San Diego and LA. This place did the best breakfast we had whilst there. Its busy so you need to wait but its worth it. The food is excellent, the choice large and waiting staff, friendly and super efficient. Would not hesitate to re-visit or... More

If you like a crap load of onions in your potatoes and corned beef hash made out of ham then this your spot. Waiter was more interested in my wife's eye shadow than our food. My wife said she didn't like onion so to leave out greens onions which they did but everything else had reg onions in it. The... More

what's not to love about a big open room, wooden floors, relaxed servers and a great - - truly great - - breakfast menu. I had a super frittata -- creamy, cheesy and with local artichokes. Super home fries and a great jalapeno corn bread. Clearly popular with locals and tourists alike.

A local resident took me and my 3 teenagers here for breakfast on a Friday AM. Zachary's is in an old early 1900s building in downtown Santa Cruz, away from the touristy Boardwalk. The sour dough pancakes were really good, and I NEVER order pancakes for breakfast, because I need my protein fix. BUT, these were served with 2 eggs,... More

I really like this place. It's unpretentious, simple, and a little outdated, but that's what makes this place charming. The food came really quickly, the service was good, the food no-frills but yummy. No fancy drinks here, just coffee, but it was a great meal for the price!

We went there as a family and let me tell you, service was great and the food was better. Everything was so fresh the bread was wonderful. SOOOOO fresh. We will be back when we return.

What is there not to like about Zachary's. Tip: Get there early on weekends. The table wait list fills up fast. Also, if you've never been here, the list to get a table is IN THE VERY BACK of the restaurant. So, don't walk in and expect a host or hostess to come up to you and ask how many... More

We all have been to places where going to breakfast or early lunch was definitely on the weekend priority list. Zacharys is totally that kind of place. No fuss no muss great food served like mom made it. Consistent hot and yummy. I do however want to buy the place and clean it with a pressure washer from top to... More

We had breakfast here and the three of up really liked what we had: Spinach salad, no meat, with avocado (no extra charge) Eggs and home fries (delicious) and homemade bread The good points: great home fries/hash browns, all the bread is great (except for the herb roll, it's terrible) Good choice a jams for your toast Good (Numi) teas,...
