Wonderful combinations for food, vegan, delightful smoothies all with zen like and fun names. I'd visit again and again if I was in the area.

Went after being recommended by someone who lives locally. Slightly skeptical at first. When ordered didn't think it would be great. After the first mouthful all of that changed. Fresh and vibrant. So tasty and struggled to finish as the food was wholesome and filling. Not badly priced either. The jasmine tea was really good. Go with an appetite if... More

Absolutely delicious raw, vegan food, and I am not even a vegan! Their wine choices were slim, and very good. I even got an entire meal to go, as I did not think I'd be able to kind food that yummy without really searching around ( which I did not have time to do.) It is a cozy place, the... More

I ate here with my huge family (10 people) around 4pm so we were able to get seated right away. but it is a small place so that would have to be considered if you are going at a peak time. I am a picky vegetarian and try to avoid dairy, soy, and gluten as well and this place was... More

Nothing's better than a cool drink or dessert after a day at the beach and my California kids knew exactly where to head after our sojourn on the beach in Santa Cruz. They took me to the Gratitude Cafe-- an interesting spot on the main drag. My son ordered a smoothie with all kinds of healthful ingredients that he thoroughly... More

This was the first menu that I realized with my diet limitations, I could order anything... Even desserts! I have gone to other places with friends nd left without anything more than a glass of water because there was nothing. That said, my husband has nut allergies and his experience was the opposite. Most entrees have nut based sauces. Service... More

I had dinner with the family there and everything we ordered was excellent. Mostly vegan and some gluten free (not all). The staff was very friendly and kind to our 18 months old son. Nice atmosphere too. A winner!

We stopped in here on a trip to visit UC Santa Cruz. Our server was excellent, the menu was varied and we thought the food was great. Parking was impossible on the nearby streets, but we found a parking lot a block away and it was free in the evening. The atmosphere and decor was very inviting and relaxing. I... More

I have been here about 5 times in 10 days and love it. Have had the macrobiotic bowl "I am whole" and a few other dishes. I like the macrobiotic bowl the best of all the things I have had here. The kimchi is mild and tasty. I have ordered a few different drinks.....my favorites are the mint shake (I... More

Love organic, but I'm normally not a fan of the raw, gluten-free, vegan restaurant based on past less than appetizing experiences. For better or worse, taste is more important to me than the number of antioxidants or enzymes in my food. Well, at Cafe Gratitude, you can have both; clean, pure food that's good for you, and wonderfully delicious too.... More
