Was recommended by hotel staff . Nice old school beachy atmosphere . We went for the omelets . Big omelets and many varieties . Has a decent menu , service was good . The value was fair . Liked the décor inside , kind of sixties beach bum style . I would recommend for breakfast , go hungry !

This place is conveniently located and has ample parking. We were staying down the street and saw this place walking around one evening and thought we would go there for breakfast. We noticed that it was on Triple D and remembered the episode so that was cool. As soon as we walked in the door for breakfast we were greeted... More

Good food, reasonable prices and great service. There must be something in the water because I am hard put to remember another restaurant where everyone was so friendly and happy. Service with a smile and friendly comment. The food is well above average and the prices are low with good size portions. This is a local favorite that can get... More

Santa Cruz diner is one of my elderly parents favorite restaurants. The noodle bowl is inspired, the breakfast selection is great, and the rest of the menu is solid and quite tasty. My only issue with Santa Cruz Diner is the occasional influx of the homeless they receive. I hate walking in the bathroom on someone bathing in the sink.... More

Dinner food with that laid back, fresh Cali flare. Carlos is an attentive and thoughtful server. The serving staff works well together. Short walk from the Hampton inn.

This place has a lot of eclectic charm, with memorabilia all over the place and a sign touting "Guy Ate Here," a reference I suppose to the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host. While I don't know what his take on the place was, I can only tell you that our meal was nothing to write home about. The menu was... More

We got to our hotel late and were starved. We chose the diner as it was in walking distance of our hotel. The atmosphere was great and it seemed to be a popular spot for locals. Our food was great - no complaints! The fries were delicious. The service was friendly.

We hadn't been to Santa Cruz in years, but remembered eating here way back then. It was still the same great service and food, yummy omelets, giant pancakes and a club sandwich for our non-breakfast eater. Drinks were always full and I love the Trivial Pursuit cards to kill time with, not that it took that long for our food... More

Came here after a long drive, late at night and were surprised to see it rather busy. Service was prompt and our next surprise was the rather eclectic menu as it offers a decent vegetarian options as well as vegan choices. Most diners play scant attention to non meat eaters. The food arrived promptly and our server was attentive. My... More
