Our second restaurant, opened in 1979 in the heart of the Silicon Valley, has been as popular with local residents as it has with the business crowd. A comfortable and spacious cocktail bar adds to the energetic atmosphere of this casual dining restaurant. Be sure to arrive early for the counter seats at the oyster bar, as they fill up quickly.

Good, huge portions, low cost

We got to the fish market early, having been warned in one of your reviews that it gets back logged and very busy later. We were rewarded by a $15.75 early diner dinner. It was delicious but much more food than we usually eat. The service was friendly and very quick. The place is noisy but... read more

Do not miss the happy hr bar menu appetizers unless dinner is on your mind then do not miss the early bird menu... Good food for sure, excellent for small or large groups and a fine place to simply hang and enjoy...

I live near the Fish Market and eat there at least once a month. It is very crowded during peak dining hours so show up early if you can. Eating in the bar during Happy Hour is a great deal; cheap well drinks and some of their best small plate food discounted. I tend to not order the regular fish... More

A wonderful local fish restaurant that was hopping on the Friday night before the Super Bowl. We were in town from North Carolina where we are accustomed to getting fresh seafood and The Fish Market was right up there on top. Everyone there was very nice and very helpful in their suggestions and took time to come back and check... More

I used to come to the bay area a lot during the 80's and 90's and would go to the Fish Markets along El Camino Real at least every other trip. The restaurant and its food is still as good as ever. Of course the meal started with sour dough bread and butter. I also got a garden salad with... More

This restaurant always seems to be busy. The secret: fresh fish. Ambience is middling but seems authentic in a kind of established institution way which has been around a long time. I can't vouch for many of the dishes but the ones I've had like the Mahi Mahi and Rockfish are tasty. Look for item marked Fresh on the board... More

A group of 10 of us had a team dinner here and we all enjoyed a wife variety of scrumptious seafood items. I enjoyed the raw oysters in the half shell, fried calamari, and an exquisite grilled swordfish steak. Prices range from inexpensive fish and chips to pricier swordfish and lobster, but they were typical prices for higher end seafood... More

Even though the price of the meals is a little high, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wait staff are all pluses. I ordered salmon which I normally don't because most restaurants feel they have to overcook the fish and then smother it with some kind of citrus or herb sauce. Not this place...the salmon was cooked... More

We are always pleased with the service and selections at Fish Market. The take and bake Augratin Potatoes are amazing and affordable.Anything we have selected here is tasty and good portion sizes also.
