Our second restaurant, opened in 1979 in the heart of the Silicon Valley, has been as popular with local residents as it has with the business crowd. A comfortable and spacious cocktail bar adds to the energetic atmosphere of this casual dining restaurant. Be sure to arrive early for the counter seats at the oyster bar, as they fill up quickly.

Lots of choices. It has a market look, not fancy. Oyster combination was good, as was our shrimp dishes. Our waiter was very good explaing the different oyster options. Dinner for 4 w/ an app and a couple beers was $103. Worth a try.

Looking for fresh seafood since we are near an ocean and we weren't disappointed with The Fish Market. I had the clam chowder and a Dungeness crab Louie - both were great - crab was very fresh and flavorful. Other entry was the Alaskan Halibut - moist, flaky and cooked perfectly. Nothing fancy in the decor, but service was prompt.... More

We have been to this chain in different locations and didn't have any issues. Unfortunately that wasn't the case when we visited the location in Santa Clara. The service was sub par and the seafood dish I had wasn't very good and wasn't very fresh. I ended up with a slight case of food poisoning. I do tent to have... More

Fish is always fresh. Service can be spotty (last meal was served luke-warm) and doused with sauce. Palo Alto restaurant seems more even. Good deal on Happy Houur!

Now that lent is back, this is my favorite "go-to" place for seafood. They are one of the freshest around. Something light like clam chowder and salads are great too. Or, just a kettleful of steamed clams with garlic bread dipped in the broth is all it takes to satisfy my taste buds.

I ordered a Lobster Salad with the Basil Vinaigrette on the side, and the waiter confirmed it was excellent...guaranteed! But the lobster meat had regularsressed with mayo, which was not mentioned in the menu; I had expected regular lumps of lobster meat tossed into a bed of green salad. The Combination Fish & Chip platter I chose instead was nice... More

Great atmosphere, tho' a little on the noisy side. Been here a few times with family and food is always terrific. Staff are ultra friendly and welcoming. Sat at the bar and was amazed at the way the staff worked in cooking up the sauces. They will cook any fish just about any way you like it - wonderful service.... More

This is an excellent seafood restaurant. Be prepared for crowds and waiting though. It's clean, has a friendly staff and great menu (of the day). No frills just good food. It's on the the noisy side of restaurant experiences. Been at two locations Santa Clara, CA and Palo Alto, CA. Identical experiences over the years.

I was looking for a reasonable priced seafood restaurant with a wide selection. This was it! The food was good & great service.
