Since it was next to our hotel we decided to go in. Very good food and nice service. I highly recommend this place when you visit Santa Clara. They also have 49 parties too!

Mediocre food, below average service, not particularly clean. Basically, if you can find another spot I'd go there. I walked over from my hotel so the location was convenient, but I'll get in my car next time.

The Guacamole was very fine, the rest was ok too, no surprises. Of you go by night, be sure that you are going early, they close at 9, but they keep making noise and cleaning the saloon if you don't go immediately after having your food.

When we arrived there wasn't anyone at the hostess station. We waited about 5 minutes before with staff members scurring about. We thought they were closing or somthing. After we were seated things got better. The chips were warm and fresh. The salsa had just the right amount of heat. Our entrées were very tasty. We would go Back again.

Just give it a try, you will be amazed by the tastes. If you stay at the plaza suites, you can just walk over. It is actually right next to the hotel, so take a nice beer with your dinner when you can walk back to the hotel.

The food is good, it isn't sophisticated food but well prepared. The Decor is terrible and for sure is a factor for possible future visit. The service is OK and fair cost.

As you enter there is a sign over the hostess desk that warns you the food served may contain ingredients that cause cancer and birth defects - I'm sure they need to display this by regulation, but not something you want to read as you enter! I ate here for lunch and dinner as I was staying in the Plaza... More

Give it 5 of 5. Was traveling on business and showed up here for a late lunch. What I liked: 1. Dora, my waitress was patient, smiling, and helpful as I asked her many questions about the menu. 2. Chicken enchilada, frijoles, and carnitas en tamal (chunks of tender pork in a tamale)—sooooo good and hot. Just the right amount... More

The serving size was decent and food wasn't bad at all. Service was good and the waiter was attentive.

El Torito is another of those innumerable Mexican food chain restaurants, similar to Chevy's and Pedros. In fact Pedros is just across highway 101 next to Great America. El Torito is in a high tech industrial park section of Santa Clara, within one block of highway 101 south. We came here on a Saturday, armed with a $10 coupon toward... More
