Great for Breakfast

Very busy, but wonderful breakfast and baked goods. Order at counter and they deliver to the table. Limited service, so you have to be willing to get your own refills on coffee and water. What could be better on a sunny Saturday in Santa Barbara than a great breakfast sitting outside? Jeannine's bakery on State serves great Granola, yummy pastries - check out their incredible array of Scones - and big coffees. Although a few Kilometres from the main part of downtown - the drive up State to Jeannine's is well worth it.

I read about Jeannine's Bakery in one of the hotel publications. Everything sounded enticing. The cakes and baked goods attested to the talents of the baker. The luncheon salad however, was another matter entirely. A couple of handsful of sad-looking mesclun filled my plate, with hardly any dressing. Commercial chicken pieces crowned the lot. Surprising for a restaurant in Santa... More

We stumbled upon Jeanine's bakery at lunch time. We were lucky enough to grab a table outside. Friendly staff and good food.

This is a bright, airy room and a wonderful place for the weekend brunch/ breakfast. It's hard to make a selection among the great choices like French toast, pancakes, breakfast quesadillas, breakfast burritos, and omelets. We also love stopping at the upper State Street location for scones, muffins, bars and coffee cakes to take home.

We visited with a group of 6 on a Saturday mid morning for breakfast. We were able to get a table pretty quick. It is a very clean place and fresh air sweeps through the open doors. We really enjoyed it. I ate the Veggie Benedict and must say it was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Can't wait... More

We witnessed several bored, frustrated children who were waiting forever to get their meals. We waited almost 29 minutes for s double espresso. I stated to feel cranky as well. Scones were awesome. People were encouraged to linger. Great location at the entrance to an alley filled with shops and other restaurants.

We arrived before 10 am and it was just starting to fill up. We managed a nice sunny spot on the patio beside the restaurant in the pedestrian walkway and the larger of the patios (the patio out front is street side). It is a walk up, order and find a table place where you take your number outside and... More

You order and pay at the counter and then sit down, Great food. Great Coffee. I personally like more syrup with my pancakes but that's just me. Good restrooms too.

A very popular breakfast and lunch spot right on State Street, you order at the counter (like a cafeteria) and wait for a person to deliver the meal. We stood in a rather long line to order and waited to pay since they were quite busy. The cashier apparently saw a friend in line and took those people ahead of... More
