Consistently outstanding

Whenever I'm in Santa Barbara, I stop by for breakfast at the Cajun Kitchen. The beignets with fruit are outragously good. I've had the California and regular eggs benedict and both are excellent. Pancakes are light and fluffy. Breakfast burrito and huevos rancheros are also very good. Home... read more

Well, Cajun Kitchen may not be a bit of New Orleans transplanted near the Pacific Ocean, but the restaurant does make a very good (slightly spicy) red beans and rice with Andouille sausage. Our daughter said her Po' Boy was very good. (It is huge.) The menu looked like it had many excellent choices and, based on the lines of... More

This is the best place to go in Santa Barbara for a late breakfast or a Sunday brunch, which explains why it's so popular with college kids and other hungover party goers. The shrimp and grits always makes me homesick and is the closest I can find to genuine southern food out here. Most everything I've tried is tasty and... More

And I was very happy that I ordered that French toast! Thickly-sliced bread (fresh, not stale), fried to perfection, topped with a big blob of butter and lots of syrup. Crisp bacon on the side. Absolutely yummy!

Cajun Kitchen has always been one of my favorite breakfast spots in Santa Barbara. Basically everything on the menu is delicious and very affordable. Must get the side of cornbread!

We had an excellent lunch. Food was tasteful and well seasoned. Mexican way of cooking. Portions are really large. Service is friendly.

Delicious jambalaya & gumbo. Good sized portions at a very fair price. Lots of well seasoned seafood with the seafood gumbo. Decent corn bread served warm. The place is easy to miss, they only have a small sign on the window. I figure the lack of advertising and the fact that it was busy at 2 pm on a weekday... More

Make sure you are hungry when you get there the portions are huge and tasty. The atmosphere could do with a little more spice.

Good homestyle cooking and service. Food is consistently good, homestyle. Nice portions, almost too much. Staff is always courteous.

We came here for brunch one morning and we absolutely loved everything about this place. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is varied and all well priced so you're bound to find something you like. We ordered the breakfast burrito and it was amazing, massive portion size but such good quality food. When we came to pay, we... More
