We were staying at the Doubletree and after several meals in downtown Santa Barbara, we wanted a pleasant evening with excellent food. We found it at Rodney's, right in our hotel. No hassle with parking, etc. It was a memorable experience with excellent food and excellent service. Don't miss the crab cake! It has to be the best we have... More

During the week, Rodneys can be crowded with convention-types on their expense accounts. Good for them, maybe not so much for us locals. On most weekends, things calm down. There will still be some tourists with unruly children but it is much quieter overall. That's when Rodneys menu and staff shine. The burger at $20 is one of the most... More

very attentive service, with the chef visiting tables and telling interesting insides about the food. The creative dishes skillfully mixing, sometimes contrasting, flavors, fresh ingredients made for a memorable meal. With the quality food and service the prices are reasonable.

It is a good meal, but you are at a hotel so it isn't going to be cheap! Just stick with breakfast and sit outside. Take a walk and go somewhere for dinner.

We found good service. They had a nice wine list. There were great salads and appetizers. What a dissapointment to get tough filet mignon!

While staying at the Fes Parker Doubltree in Santa Barbara we decided on dinner at Rodney's mainly because we didn't want to drive or take a taxi. I was a bit wary since hotel restaurants aren't always the best. But, this was a good choice. We had the filet and it was prefect. One of the best steaks I've ever... More

I spent New Years Eve at this restaurant and the food was divine. The service was impeccable, the steak was made exactly as I ordered, and the garlic truffle fries were to die for! The portions were generous too, especially the 7 layer chocolate cake! I would definitely return.

We really enjoyed Christmas dinner at Rodney's. Roasted turkey with all the trimmings, and prime rib cooked perfectly. Amelia was a great server, and it was a warm friendly atmosphere. It was really fun to see families of all ages.

Every year I top off my birthday by treating a few close friends to dinner at Rodney's. I've eaten at some great steakhouses in Chicago, New York and elsewhere. For those carnivores who can appreciate a good steak, this rivals any of the great steakhouses. The menu is limited to beef, and various fresh fish items. But the steak is... More

The decor was nice but very brightly lite. The menu was very limited. The food average but expensive. I can get an average steak and steamed broccoli anywhere nothing special, but a big bill at the end.
