This small cafe located in a strip mall next to the post office with a parking lot for a front yard has developed a loyal following. I suspect this is due to the feeling that you are in a small place in some urban Italian destination, a bit off the path with real locals. Certainly this is not a Michelin... More

Really nice Italian restaurant. I thought it was a bit expensive (especially $10 for a glass of wine (although it was good!)) but the food was really nice and good service. When we visited there it was completely full and had a great atmosphere.

We loved their food. It's a very small cafe. Had a great friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Appeared that locals liked it. I would go again on next visit. Yummy!!!!

A small restaurant on a busy street, but set back enough from the traffic to enable outside eating. Excellent pasta dishes, fairly priced, although house wine at $10 a glass is a little overpriced.

When we travel to Santa Barbara Via Maestra 42 gives us that taste of Italy. We usually split a piatti principali after sharing some sort of antipasti. We enjoyed the farfalle al Pesto, just perfect flavor and portion for the two of us. Could not resist the gelato, espresso for a sweet treat reminding of us our trip to Tuscany.

My family and I dined here on a short overnight trip to SB. I found the resto on Yelp and tried it out. It was as close to our dining experience in Italy. The portions were such that you could enjoy an antipasti, main entree and dessert without over stuffing yourself. We even came back for a post lunch dessert... More

2-4 years ago this was one of our favorite places for a small Italian meal - the lemony spinach ravioli used to be great consistently; last tine I ordered they served the wrong ravioli. Also got rancid tasting "truffle" with filet once; most pasta dishes are good. Gelato is excellent

Quick dinner of salad and spinach ravioli. This was the best freshest ravioli I eaten in a long time. The sauce was delicious kind of like a light lemony alfredo.

Went for dinner and had a grilled salmon dish that was excellent. There were 6 of us. Everybody really enjoyed their food. We also enjoyed the restaurant setting and large windows with beautiful scenes, no wonder the place is crowded. Great service too.

This is about as quaint and authentic an Italian restaurant there is in Santa Barbara. This is what I would call a neighborhood gem. I love their pasta and risotto entrees with a variety of Italian wines to choose from. They also have delicious Italian sandwiches, cheeses, appetizers, desserts, candy and gelato! My favorite though is their breakfast. There are... More
