Eat on picnic bench on water

Waited about 20 min but the chowder and lobster was worth the wait. Easy to share and be prepared to get messy as the claws are it cracked . Had to use phone flashlight to see but it is all about the ambiance. Really cool.

We had the half steamed crab. It tasted average. The service wasn't great and the waitress took my plate away before I had finished eating. Go somewhere else and don't believe the hype.

nice spot on Stearns Wharf. Limited menu for anyone that may not want seafood in your group (allergies). They did offer a few options that weren't on the menu which worked for us. coconut shrimp was good. minimal seafood in the shrimp and scallop pasta. crab sandwich was good. lobster tacos were the favorite of our group! Crab cakes could... More

Great, fresh selections and loved the atmosphere. First come, first serve. You sign your name on a list on the door and wait to get called. Best clam chowder soup ever. My husband loved the crab. Great food and I think we were served by the manager. Great service and he helped us select the best dishes. He evn gave... More

This restaurant is tiny and so the wait is very long. But! They have a take out window which is the way to go. You get the same food without the wait and can eat outdoors on picnic tables watching the bay, sunset, and seals. Food is good, expensive because you're on the Santa Barbara pier. Great fun.

Reservations not taken and the restaurant is very popular. The wait was not unreasonable and the scenery from the pier makes the time go by quickly. The clam chowder was very good; I also has the crab sandwich. The pairing was a good meal . My wife had the linguini and enjoyed the meal. It is a recommended stop on... More

I tend to get a little skeptical when I see a place with too good of a location. This offshoot of the Santa Barbara Shellfish Company sits on a gorgeous pier at Stearns Wharf. But we bellied up to the bar, and we enjoyed a pitcher of local beer, oyster shooters, clam chowder, and seafood prepared right in front of... More

Really enjoyed the entire experience! The waiting list is on a clipboard at the door and you write your own name down and then wander around the pier waiting for your turn. No problem here as the views are great. Inside all the seats are stools facing either the window - sea view - or cooking station. Both choices are... More

Went at 3pm and there wasn't much of a wait to get in. The clam chowder is outstanding. However, we were very disappointed in all of the entree items such as the shrimp, which is listed on the menu as "seasoned", but was very bland. The oysters were overpriced and tasted average as well. For the money, we had better... More

The food is amazing, they have fresh sea food, the atmosphere is authentic, although the Shellfish Company is located on the main pier in Santa Barbara it is not a Tourist trap like the rest of the restaurants located on the pier, it is authentic, locals eat there and it is not expansive.
