This place has a nice atmosphere and is a little more sophisticated than your usual American restaurant. Good menu balance between seafood and meat, food well presented and service was spot on. Huge wine list and that is just the Santa Barbara ones!

We had the most enjoyable meal of our trip here. Service is superlative...attentive, friendly, fun waiters. Food is excellent - well prepared and enough variety of dishes to please my family of five. Steak dishes are incredible.

It was an anniversary dinner and the food was absolutely terrific. Make reservations ahead of time. This is a popular location! It was a bit loud.

After all the stellar reviews, we were so disappointed with how average Bouchon was for dinner. The ambiance is lovely, and the service is better than average. Our server was very knowledgeable about wine and had great suggestions. However, the food was so under seasoned it was hard to eat. Most disappointing was the duck- a staple of their menu... More

Two words of advice: Reserve early. Bouchon is no secret in Santa Barbara. The dishes are deft and original, the service is immaculate, the wine choices are superb and the prices are fair. What more to say? Enjoy! We surge did.

A must-try restaurant for anyone in Santa Barbara. The menu is limited to a handful of items, allowing the chef to focus his talents on quality. The food is excellent, with an emphasis on locally grown greens and vegetables. Service is friendly and prompt. An extensive wine list focusing on California wines. Try the dark chocolate cake for desert.

From the reviews I had read, maybe I was expecting too much. Reserved for a party of five, then ended up with a sixth person. They quickly and graciously accommodated us. Quick and attentive service throughout the meal. They have a great wine list and we shared several around the table. I thought the heirloom tomatoes themselves were good, but... More

I've been coming here for years, and I ate here last month with my wife, and another couple, during a six week restaurant-intensive visit. It was something like my 25th dinner at Bouchon. I like the food very much, although I agree with some of the other reviewers that it could be a little better. What makes Bouchon a top-rated... More

Last night we spent three and a half hours with Executive Chef Greg Murphy on his "foodie stroll" through the farmers market. Greg is a remarkable raconteur and speaks with great candor about the Santa Barbara food scene, what makes restaurants tick, and the farmers market. A fantastic experience...followed by a three-course, wine-paired dinner at Bouchon which was pretty darn... More
