We recently enjoyed a beautiful evening here. We were seated at a cozy table outside. The service was perfectly timed and warm and friendly. Our food was flavorful, delicious. We shared a first course of baked Brie, each had a second course of crab cakes which I loved and a roasted beet salad. Both pleased us very much. We both... More

I ate here by myself, had three glasses of wine and the bill was around $220. That's a bit much. I was surprised that the portions here are not at all "California sized." They were enormous. Usually in CA it's safe to order a couple of different courses because portions are always on the smaller side. It was shocking to... More

The good news is that Bouchon is an adorable cozy bistro just off the main downtown drag. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the local wines and pairings. The food was a bit of a let down though. Not very imaginative and a bit sloppy in execution. May have something to do with shaving off a bit in the... More

I had baked brie appetizer and the sea bass. DELICIOUS! This is the cutest place. So romantic and intimate. I went there for dinner with a girlfriend for a girlfriends get away. We enjoyed ourselves but would have loved to have been with our significant others. The food was flavorful, perfectly prepared and wonderfully presented. We shared the apple crumble... More

This was our second night in Santa Barbara and we had another great meal in this lovely city! Delicious French cuisine, as well as a descriptive and varied menu. Steven, our waiter, was most helpful with our menu and wine choices. Our meals were fabulous consisting of mouth watering lobster potpie and venison with barley and dates. The market salad... More

Try this at any other restaurant and see what you get...I asked the waiter, Kevin if they had a particular wine that we tasted the day before on our wine trip. While Bouchon didn't carry it, Kevin knew the wine, described its characteristics and suggested a comparable wine...and nailed it!! Food is plentiful and farm fresh. Try the beet salad... More

We dined here after dining at Downey's and while good, nothing as good as our meals at Downeys. The sea bass was quite good.

This place has an incredible menu. The food is elegantly prepared, the service is fabulous and they have a pretty great wine list of local wines from the region. Great place for a romantic evening out!

We heard about this restaurant and when we called to get a reservation, they only had very early (6pm) or 8:30pm on a Friday night. We chose the earlier time although we were afraid that it would be too early and then the restaurant would be empty (we do not like eating in an empty restaurant). Surprise, the restaurant was...
