I've been coming here for years, and I ate here last month with my wife, and another couple, during a six week restaurant-intensive visit. It was something like my 25th dinner at Bouchon. I like the food very much, although I agree with some of the other reviewers that it could be a little better. What makes Bouchon a top-rated... More

Last night we spent three and a half hours with Executive Chef Greg Murphy on his "foodie stroll" through the farmers market. Greg is a remarkable raconteur and speaks with great candor about the Santa Barbara food scene, what makes restaurants tick, and the farmers market. A fantastic experience...followed by a three-course, wine-paired dinner at Bouchon which was pretty darn... More

We went to the restaurant with high expectations after reading many review. We ordered the heirloom tomatoes and spinach salads and both ordered the local sea bass. The salads were very fresh but the seasoning and the cheeses were overpowering that it was difficult to enjoy the fresh veggies. The local sea bass was very tough. We were not sure... More

They do it right. You are treated like a friend with excellent service and delicious food. Hunter offered a thorough explanation of the menu and wonderful wine pairings. Mushroom ragu and scallops trio are delicious. Thanks

Farm to table fare with a good wine selection, and great service. The fish dish I had was exceptional.

The food exceeded my expectations, and the portions are very generous. These elements are not to be outdone by the exceptional service (for Santa Barbara). We ordered the heirloom tomatoes, and crab cakes for appetizers, which we split at the suggestion of our outstanding, and very professional waiter, Byron. After this we could have concluded the meal and been perfectly... More

A French restaurant with high ratings should have good onion soup. We both ordered the soup - and after a couple of bites there was no broth only soggy onions topped with bread and cheese (which did not have the nutty gruyere flavor). We split a crab cake which was very good and the rack of lamb. The lamb was... More

Everything about Bouchon was amazing. The service was impeccable. We sat outside in the courtyard. We did not feel crowded at all. The wine selection is great. They feature a lot of local wines. Our table had the lamb, chicken, and the salmon. The lamb was the best we have ever had. The chicken was moist and the mashed potatoes... More

We had a nice meal at Bouchon with friends. Reservations are a must, the restaurant is very popular. I was really expecting to be blown away by the food at Bouchon, but it was hit or miss. We shared crab cakes and the peach salad. Both were delicious. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals well enough, but no one was... More
