This place is fantastic! The wait staff are professional waiters and know the menu, wines, history of the area, specials and are very eager to serve. My wife and I ate here and i would come back at a moment's notice - assuming i can get a reservation.

We had a couple nights in Santa Barbara and were interested in Bouchon. It is cozy and warm and has a beautiful copper open kitchen. Abe our waiter was attentive and helpful. I thought the service was perfect. Everything was paced nicely and we had some much appreciated help in choosing from the extensive wine list. I really enjoyed the... More

This was a truly spectacular dining experience. The staff -- particularly Eric and Joaquin -- were amazing… so friendly, helpful, professional. The food was incredible. We started with squash soup and the mushroom ragout. The soup was great, but the ragout was beyond description. For an entree, I had the Mary's chicken and yelped with delight after my first bite…the... More

We were not disappointed by this charming place. Loved that everything was fresh, my fish was caught in local waters that morning. Very small and tables a bit close, but added to the ambiance.

Great menu and exceptional local wine list. Despite no reservation (gasp!) we got seated and received great service along with a delicious inspired dinner.

This is one of the best restaurants I've visited for doing wine with a meal. The service is really outstanding, friendly and yet knowledgable and efficient. The waiter had an impressive knowledge of the local wine region and talked with us about it just long enough to make it interesting, but not too long. Seared ahi was as good as... More

From other reviews of this restaurant I had expected it to be excellent, but although it was good it wasn't great for us. We both started with soup; one of us the French onion soup and the other the squash. We both had the maple-glazed duck for main course. We accompanied this with an bottle of the excellent Au Bon... At time of reservation, restaurant knew we were celebrating a wedding anniversary yet on a very chilly evening they sat us on the patio under heater that was either blasting heat unpleasantly or off completely. Service was just ok. Food was good but not what we expected considering the prices.

We liked this place a lot, although it did not live up to our expectations as something truly exceptional. We ate fish--tuna and salmon on a bed of lentils. Good. Appetizers of onion soup and mushroom ragout were really good. We also shared a date almond cake on carmel that was the hit of the evening. Good for one visit... More

This was our first visit and we decided to have our Christmas there. We were very happy with our decision. The menus was prix fixe because of Christmas and we had a hard time making decisions as everything looked so good. I had the goat cheese tartlet and the duck at jus and both were excellent. Friendly staff. Great wine... More
