We had sweet yam soup, vegetable lasagna and chili tempeh tacos. I expected the chili tempeh tacos and lasagna to be a little more flavorful. But we loved the sweet yam soup. It is a vegan soup and is the perfect choice for the winter.

After a long day of traveling we arrived at our hotel in Santa Barbara. Tired didn't want to go out to far for diner so we stopped at Sojourner a few blocks from our marvelous hotel Spanish Garden Inn not knowing what to expect....The BEST Toscane Tomato soup ever! We went back for lunch the next day and tried the... More

Love the Soj. Feels like I'm back in the 60s/70s and in a very good way. The food is fresh and healthy. Soups are wonderful. Well, really everything is pretty great. Love the fresh veggie juices and the vibe.

Again another great veg place in Santa Barbara. We happened on it by accident.. "Siri, show us nearby vegetarian restaurants." Parking was a little tricky but we managed. Food was excellent. I had the Reuben sandwich. My wife had the club. Both delicious. The container for the salsa was too small to dip the chip in, but it was very... More

I love this place. A short walk from the Spanish Garden Inn. Serves up great food, drinks, in an intimate atmosphere with great customer service. I had the vegetarian lasagna with a mixed drink which was great ( can't recall the name though). Will definitely be back when I visit Santa Barbara again.

Not bad... I've been there a few times and have always walked away happy. It's a neighborhood treasure that the locals patronize. I don't recall what it was called but they do a dish that is steamed veggies over black-bean chili over corn bread that is killer!

The Sojourner Cafe ("the Soj" to locals), has been a Santa Barbara landmark forever. Situated on Cannon Perdido Street, it has two distinct dining rooms plus several outdoor tables on the sidewalk. The food is healthy and the menu creative.

I'm a gluten-free, vegan, organic diner so it's very difficult while traveling to find a restaurant that can handle my unique requests. But Sojourner was up to the task and it will be my go-to restaurant in Santa Barbara from now on. Good location, good vibes, good service and good food. Our server had a fun sense of humor and... Visiting Santa Barbara way back in January 1987, my husband and I were happy to stumble upon this cozy spot. I was glad to see it still going strong now---it's got a very relaxed atmosphere---there were families with young children there during a weeknight dinner---and such nice wait staff. As a vegetarian, it's always a pleasure to find a place... More
