Good Food & Gluten Free Options

Both of us are gluten-free diners and were thrilled with the menu that includes many GF options including dessert! The service was a bit slow at first (a waitress had not shown up for work, so part of the restaurant tables sat empty and the other waitresses were spread thin). But it picked up once... read more

The food here is alright, there is something for everyone, even meat eaters. We parked at the valet parking behind El Paseo.(wish we had eaten at El Paseo really). The waiter was way overworked. He didn't seem to be getting enough backup from the rest of the staff. So, just ok food. Good service considering the overworked and distracted waiter... More

Went to the Sojourner today with my family and I was happy to see that it still rocks! I had the tempeh taco salad and it was so fantastic! Wifey had a portobello burger that was also on point! Our kids split the quesadilla kids plate with fresh fruit. Iced tea was great too. This place is a gem. Consistent,... More

My veggie husband had the reuban and was thrilled. I had a salad and was less than impressed. But it wasn't a bad place. And if you are vegetarian, you'll be happy to fine this granola-ish veggie restaurant right in the middle of town.

I sat at the bar to eat and the waitress was great. A little bit of conversation which is perfect. Ravioli was excellent. Had a sample of the Cherry Lemonade slush drink and I would go back for that. Overall great dinner.

I have been going here since 1979 The Sojourner has stood the test of time. Not many places show the history of the 70's With great Vegetarian cuisine. Good soups, sandwiches coffees all on the menu, you can even fine a little chicken and fish if you need protein. Desserts are gluten and sugar free if need be but lack... More

There's a news article this week about the sojourner and how they're worried they might have to close. The owners blame the recession. Here's a newsflash--the recession is over and the problem is the food. The tempeh Reuben tastes like soap and all the veggies are basically raw. I'm all for not over cooking veggies, but do something to them.... More

We go to the Sojourner because no matter what you order it is fresh produce and fruit, and a great menu of health dishes every time. Thank you for your years of well thought out dishes.

This place is reminiscent of restaurants that opened back in the 60's. It serves very good vegetarian food in a place that feels authentic. This is not a new place. They don't have the latest cutting edge recipes. They have tasty, well-tested choices. The place gets a fair amount of locals as it is off the main drag. It is... More

Yay! Vegan options! Husband had the Ruben, I had the tomato and avocado sandwich. The side of pasta salad was amazing, and our entrees were fantastic. Bonus: no crowds, great service.
