Four of us had lunch here last weekend. First time and was over the top impressed with the decor, the food, and the service. Pricing was very very fair and the Kale salad was wonderful. This will be one we return to over and over again!

This place is off the beaten path and you would never know it was there unless someone told you. It is behind an art gallery with a pretty peaceful courtyard setting. Loved the food - chef is from the South so not your typical California food.

I loved the idea of an outdoor patio which did not disappoint. When we arrived tho it felt a bit frenetic. I'm sure we have all been in places that were busy but calm, and places that were busy and did not feel calm. Unfortunately my experience on the day we went was the latter. Regarding the food, my cousin... More

The setting for lunch at this cafe is lovely, set in an interior courtyard, where you are protected from the wind. So even if the weather is cool you can enjoy being outside. Entrance is a walk through the art gallery which rotates the art on display, take a moment to enjoy before entering the restaurant. Lunch menu is varied... More

There was nothing really special about the menu or the food. It was well prepared and service was acceptable but nothing beyond that. There are plenty of other places in the area at similar pricing that deliver a more exciting evening food wise.

Great lunch in the attractive courtyard--don't miss the paintings in the excellent gallery on the way in. Soup and half-sandwich special was a lot of food, and just delicious. Waitress gave helpful suggestions.

Had lunch here this past weekend. Very charming and beautiful setting. The soup which was asperagus and mushroom was wonderful - could have had two bowls and the 1/2 pastrimi sandwich was so tender. Will definitely make this a repeat visit when coming to Santa Barbara. A real hidden gem!

Excellent spinach salad with steak. Fresh baby spinach and steak cooked perfectly. Only trouble was the rather slow water and coffee service. I'm looking forward to returning again soon.

We had a fantastic lunch here in the courtyard, which is really the restaurant. Excellent crab & corn bisque, 1/2 pastrami sandwich which also comes with small side salad..enough to make it also dinner… almost spoiled our dinner, but have no fear we made it to Bouchon! Would not have known of Arts & Letters without the recommendation of the... More
