Established in 1985, The Palace Grill is a Santa Barbara landmark restaurant featuring authentic New Orleans-inspired cuisine and a fun, lively atmosphere. Winner of The Santa Barbara's Independent Reader's Poll for "Best Restaurant Service". Located in Santa Barbara's charming Old Town district, The Palace Grill has something for everyone. Our menu features a wide range of contemporary American Grill items with a focus on authentic Southern and Louisiana specialties such as Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, New Orleans Bar-B-Que Shrimp, Blackened Filet Mignon, and delicious daily "Menu Additions". In addition we have a number of exciting Caribbean dishes and a line of Creole-Italian pastas. The Palace has been featured in dozens of national publications including Gourmet(R) Magazine, Bon Appetit(R) and USA TODAY(R). Throughout the years, The Palace has also been a favorite of culinary legends (including chef Julia Child and chef Wolfgang Puck) and has served its cuisine to countless global dignitaries - including 5 U. S. Presidents. At the Palace Grill, everyone shares one goal: to give our guests the most extraordinary dining experience possible: every time they visit. Besides our wonderful cuisine, The Palace is known for it's unique style of "Team Service" (which the Nation's Restaurant News called "an idea whose time has come") and our nostalgic nightly staff and guest Sing-A-Long to Louis Armstrong's iconic song - "What A Wonderful World." Come join the celebration known as "The Palace Grill Experience."

The Palace Grille is an outstanding restaurant offering superb Cajun style food in central Santa Barbara. The food is reasonably priced, the portions are decently large and the choices are entrees and desserts are delectable. Many people make a point of eating here whenever they visit Santa Barbara. This restaurants comes highly recommend by both myself and many others.

I have eaten here many times over the years. It's a favorite place for a birthday celebration or to entertain friends. The service is always great, I love the cajun food and drinks, and of course the muffins! Best of all, the atmosphere is fun, singing, and occasionally magic tricks.

This place has loads of character and is a real experience boasting the best service in California. Agreed, and also they make the experience a good one with an impromptu sing along with the other diners. Food could be better, but still good.

John, the ambience you enjoy and service you receive are both crucial parts of the dining experience. I'm thrilled we nailed it on both counts, but I'm sorry if your meal was a bit lackluster. Hopefully whatever you tried was still well-prepared and full of flavor. Thanks for reaching out with some feedback! Best wishes, Errol, Manager More

Feel sorry to write this, but the waitress was so rude that I have to leave a comment. First of all we chose this restaurant for its good reviews and interesting cuisine. And have to say that the food was very good. Really liked the artichoke hearts and bread muffins. Then was the thing that ruined out experience. When we... More

I admittedly had a tough time with the menu. In most restaurants I can quickly narrow down my selection to less than three options, but not here. The whole menu sounded fantastic. The service was very good. The waitstaff was excellent, and helped you drain your glass. My only regret was not ordering the red fish before they sold out.

Sorry to hear you were having trouble making a selection, Mark! That's a great problem to have though, right? Whatever you ordered, it must have been wonderful -- thank you for the five stars! Hopefully you'll get a chance to taste the redfish someday. Fingers crossed, Errol, Manager More

Stopped by for lunch while spending a romantic weekend in Santa Barbara. Great service, hot tasty food and one of the best bloody Mary's I've had in a while. Try the bread pudding - comes piping hot from the oven.

The meal started with some muffin-y breads which were all great - far better than your standard bread selection. The lamb was incredible and the pecan pie was great too! Couldn't recommend the Palace more highly.

We liked this. Bowled into town late having driven from Saint Luis Obispo. Knackered hungry and not having inclination to work out where best to eat. This place looked busy. The clincher was stopping a local and asking them if it was good. One ringing endorsement later and we were in. I had jambalaya pasta. She had palace pasta (I... More
