After traveling to New Orleans on a foodfest week, we've craved creole food ever since. However, the only way to get that style in CA is to crack open Prudhomme's cookbook and make it yourself, which is a half-day project for two. Luckily, we chanced upon The Palace while staying in Santa Barbara, and it could compete with any restaurant... more

This is possibly the best food I have ever been served. I have been to many countries and experienced a lot of cuisine. The Palace is absolutely incredible and should not be missed. Not only was the food GREAT but the service was fantastic too. It is a great casual restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and would return again... more

I went to school in Santa Barbara and fell in love with this place. I have eaten at incredible restaurants in Los Angeles and still nothing compares to the deliciousness of The Palace. Great service, incredible food, and a really fun atmosphere. If I lived closer, I would probably be obese. more

My wife and I regularly drive over 2 hrs to have dinner at the Palace, but never again. We had a terrible experience. Our dinner comes out, my order is wrong, so they leave my wifes food and I sit and wait. She tastes her food, and her entire plate of food is cold (mashed, veggies, and lamb). Server comes... more

You just can't find a nicer wait staff anywhere. They are upbeat, helpful and certainly seem to love their work. The food is delicious.. a great place to eat! We would certainly repeat! more

The host made up a table for us shortly after we got there which was great- they went out of their way to get us in ! Service was very attentive, refilling drinks, getting our order, bringing extra condiments and more biscuits. At one point in the evening everyone sings "What a Wonderful World" and the entire staff walks around... more

Had dinner last night at Palace Grill. Food and service were excellent. Had the cajun popcorn appetizer, hurricane margaritas. Our party had the blackened catfish(very moist), jambalya pasta and the pasta dish with filet. All were excellent. The desserts also!! Bread pudding and chocolate souffle!! Would go again!! more

This restaurant was one of several great decisions we made on our trip to Santa Barbara. Had dinner here, the place had a great vibe whether you were there for a romantic dinner or in our case- casual with two kids. They don't have a kids menu so we took the waiter's recommendation and ordered the chicken salad which consisted... more
