We originally had dinner reservations here, but could not make it as we were running late. Instead, we came for lunch. We came about 5 minutes before they were supposed to close but were still seated. The restaurant has a beautiful courtyard that really sets the tone for a quiet, enjoyable lunch. The food was very enjoyable as well. We... More

We have had a reservation at the Wine Cask because of an article in the "Weinwelt" with a description of the wine list, which sounded good. Forget it. They offered us a "Barbera" as a "Brunello" as it was mentioned in the wine list and even didn't understand the difference! The "Sommelier" wanted to check the possibility to find a... More

Interesting dishes well prepared. Service was friendly and professional. Good wine list and knowledgeable staff to help with choices. The atmosphere is upscale without being pretentious. One of the better choices in Santa Barbara.

Had another great meal here on Sunday evening. We're local and we have been here a few times and it never disappoints. Sat in the courtyard and it was peaceful - quite romantic. The three courses were all very flavorful and creative without being too fancy. Ended with the trio of Tawny Port taster and cheese selection. Bliss! Service was... More

From there the service went downhill. We gave our dinner order 30 minutes later..... And never saw our sever again. After another 30 minutes We had to... More

The ceviche is a delight, the cask burger is sizable and deliciously spiced, and the garden salad has the freshest tomatoes and most wonderful seasoning in town. Ambiance is comfortable without being necessarily memorable. All wines are local to SB and the servers know their stuff and are pleased to share their knowledge and opinions with you as you like.

We went to the Wine Cask for an anniversary dinner. It didn't disappoint! Great atmosphere - cozy table in front of the fireplace - an excellent wine list, and a new chef that transformed excellent food into exquisite! Well worth making this restaurant a priority when visiting Santa Barbara!

The night we visited (last Wednesday) was the first night of the new menu. What a treat, delicious food, good service and excellent wine advice. Thank you, this was the best meal we had whilst of holiday in California.
