Best Mexican food in SB!

This restaurant is tucked away in the El Paseo shopping area, a historic building where they have celebrated Fiesta for 90 years. The drinks are always good, the fajitas are excellent, and the tortillas are home-made. The manager always makes you feel like family. Had the most enjoyable meal at this restaurant. The Atmosphere is excellent and the food is even better and it felt like we in Old Mexico. Open air seating and great service was fun and relaxing.

Me and a group of friends decided to go to El Paseo for Taco Tuesday which I did not know it was a buffet. The place was full & the drinks were very good. I went to the buffet & to my surprise there were no sneeze guards in any part of the buffet. The food was in Chafing Dishes... More

Very good selection for buffet and decent prices as well . Didn't realize they only had brunch on Sunday's and no ala carte but was good none the less . One thing to note is the buffet ends at 2.30 and before 2 they stop bringing new food to replenish so go right at noon.

El Paseo Restaurant is tucked away between State Street and the Wine Cask Restaurant so it is a bit hard to locate but well worth the search! Each Sunday they feature an "all you can eat" buffet in the large plaza that houses their facility. Everywhere you look there is a different collection of very interesting foods. We went there... Been to the El Paseo for dinner on several visits. For this trip, we had my daughter's wedding reception here. Food is unquestionably one of the best Spanish epicurean experiences one could want. Staff is cordial, not uppity like some restauants in Santa Barbara. Presentations are 5-star. Ample parking in back off of Anacapa St.

Our good friends, who are Santa Barbara natives, recently took us to dinner at El Paseo. The entire day had been called "classic Santa Barbara", which meant we only visited or ate at places which had been in existence for at least fifty years. We finished the day at El Paseo, a Santa Barbara institution. This restaurant serves typical mexican... More

Living in Santa Barbara more than 40 years ago, I first visited El Paseo Restaurant and was pleased with the atmosphere more than the food -- it was and remains a Moorish/Spanish delight, complete with a ceiling which rolls back to allow starlight dining. We went there last night, the first time in 20 years, and found that the place... More

great meal well priced. Lovely location and comfortable seating. Endless chips and the food was excellent. Service was good. Waiter very nice and appropriate. Would go again just to try more dishes.

While the location looks promising, the food and service prove it to be a waste. They had several large parties there while we were dining and all the tables were acting horribly. Lots of loud cheering and getting out of hand with the alcohol. After an hour of screaming we complained the manager. The noise got a little better, but... More
