Ca' Dario

We just ate at this venerable restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara. The crispy Caesar salad was delicious as was the Branzino. My wife's John Dory was extremely flavorful. We have eaten here before and the restaurant is predictably tops.

We dine at Ca'dario every time we visit lovely Santa Barbara. It is just two blocks off of State Street and well worth the search. Intimate surroundings make for a pleasing lunch or dinner dining experience. The ravioli, parpadell and bolognese are marvelous. The Caprese is wonderful. Chopped salad excellent. They are helpful with wine selections, as well.We truly enjoy... More

I only have one gripe with this place and it really is not a deal breaker. The tables are close, the volume is loud and some people like that. On occasion I can abide with the noise as the food has been great every time I have been there. If you are tourist and you are wanting to stay downtown... More

Truly authentic Italian meal. The clam and mussel in white wine and garlic is magnificent with a hint of garlic that is not overpowering. The right amount of chilli to spice it up but not too spicy. The pasta was cooked aldente. The bolognaise sauce was superb. The pillows with spinach and ricotta were amazing. Prices are competitive but won't... More

We really enjoyed this little Italian place for dinner. Authentic food, and super great about splitting the bill for a large party. Well priced and well located.

After a long day of winery touring we were looking for a nice dinner, our hotel recommended Ca'Dario. It was a easy walk from the Spanish Garden Inn and we were lucky to be seated without reservations. The food was wonderful and my husband's steak was one of the largest cuts of meat we have ever seen, there wasn't a... More

Santa Barbara has as many four or five Italian restaurants on every block in places, and the level of many of them is high. But this is the favorite of those in the know, I think, for the originality of its dishes, superb desserts you'll find nowhere else, and even ravioli made as you will find it nowhere else. The... Our family of four stumbled on to this authentic, small neighborhood restaurant purely by accident. While in Samta Barbara, we vowed to only eat at non-chain cafe/restaurants. We strayed off of State streets amd found this little jewel. The place is small. There is no bar although you can get cocktails, wine, and beerr. We were lucky to get an open... More
