The opal restaurant was full, we had no reservations, and it was a street festival night. We were welcomed, a table found, and the menus presented in minutes. My wife was hungry for something light, vegetarian and tasty. She ordered the Vegetable Napolean. I was hungry for seafood and pasta, and ordered the homemade Fettuccine Prawns with a light Pesto... Dinner with a family of two youngish boys isn't always fun, but the quality of the food and the thoughtful service made this dinner one of our most enjoyable while on vacation. We ordered several courses and each one was timed very well. My entree was quite good, but the side of risotto was a bit gummy. Our kids both... More

We were here 2 weeks ago on a Thursday night. They were very busy, but we were seated right away by the window. We were very impressed with their wine selections. Service at times might have been a little slow, but not a concern to us. We started with a great shrimp appetizer. For dinner I had an amazing chicken... More

State street is the main drag in this city with restaurants that range from dive bars to high end places. And so we found ourselves wandering the streets after an afternoon performance by a gypsy king wannabe at the nearby Granada theatre. Opal is another in a single named restaurant with no clue as to what it's ultimate food style... More

My new wife and I decided to have our rehearsal dinner at Opal a few weeks ago. I am so glad we did. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had a party of about 35 people and filled up most of the back room, which was all set and ready to go right when we arrived. It seemed like everyone in... More

Very chic ad beautifully done, with food and cocktails to match. You have to try some of their signature drinks. They have a master mixologist!

The food here is really good! It's a nicer restaurant, so it's good for a date night. The portions are definitely enough to fill you up. Very yummy!

Opal has consistently delivered a good meal with some standouts for sure. Salmon over thai vegetables, bay scallop salad (entrée or appetizer size) and chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms are some of the best!
