What a neat spot! Too bad it is not a secret. There were tons of people, cars and bikes were parked up and down the street pretty far. The scenery was beautiful and the setting felt like a movie or something. A band was playing and people were sitting in any available spot they could to enjoy the music and... More

park and walk miles to get to resteraunt, not worth it. This place has no parking, is on narrow roads in middle of the woods and mountains, has gorgeous scenery but absolutely horrible parking situation.

I took my girlfriend to Cold Spring Tavern last night for dinner and the atmosphere did not disappoint! I made a reservation and they sat us right by a window with a great view of the hillside. Duck for me and chicken for her, the chicken was great! The duck was tender, but the winner of the evening was the... More

One of the most eclectic mixes of people anytime you visit...from Hell's Angels to celebrities, everyone is here for the stellar cuisine and wine list and great live music at this hidden gem of Santa Barbara County. Last time I was there I was sitting next to a very big celebrity who informed me that he comes up from Pacific... More

If you are on a mtorocycle cruise to Solvang, definitely make this a quick stop for lunch. This used to be a regular stagecoach stop and feels like you step back in time a little. They even have wild game to try if adventurous. March 2011.

If you're willing to make the trip north of the city, Cold Spring Tavern is a lot of fun. It has a very rustic feel and reading about some of the history makes it that much more enjoyable. It's not the most amazing food I've ever had, but I was glad to have taken the time to head up there... More

Just discovered Cold Spring Tavern this summer on a drive from Solvang to Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara was, surprisingly, awful as it was nothing but a bunch of boring chain stores in the downtown area mixed with the pungent odor of dried piss, but Cold Spring Tavern, several miles outside of town, was great. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

This is a must experience restaurant! The history alone is fascinating...Intimate yet lively evening. The menu varies daily and if you enjoy a selection of wild game to dine on...Please add this tavern to your list of Don't Miss experiences! We have a vegetarian in our family and she enjoyed her meal as well. One addition bonus...I have stopped here... More

Recommended by a friend we made this a stop on our road trip. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Very charming décor and history. I had one of their salads, it was excellent, my husband had a BBQ beef sandwich. His meat was a little on the tough side, however very tasty sauce. We enjoyed the ambiance of this... More

Went on a busy Sunday afternoon for lunch and had a great meal. Was not expecting gourmet, but good comfort food and can say that this place exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be going here a again and will recommend it to family and friends who visit the area. The rustic atmosphere reminds me of North Carolina. Staff was... More
