Loved it. Staying in Santa Barbara for a few days, and I had been dying to try Cold Spring Tavern. My plan had been to go there for dinner on our arrival day (a Thursday), but we rolled into town later than expected, so I changed the plan to lunch the following day. Even though I had been looking forward... More

Nice drive to get there, about 15 miles from UCSB. They have buildings from 1896 and say that the stagecoaches would stop there for food and drinks back in the day. Ribs were great and the beer battered onion rings are a must try. Bands play on the weekends, we had a fun group when we were there. Next time... More

This place has been around forever, in an industry where short lifetimes are the rule, and there's a reason - consistently great food, an eclectic menu, a quaint building and good service.

Popped in for breakfast on the way up to Santa Ynez to go Grape Stomping. What a gem of a place!!!! Really quaint & tucked away in the woods..........breakfast was delicious!!! Service was fast & the food obviously was freshly made - I chose not to get biscuits & toast with my breakfast but landed up eating bits from everyone... More

My husband recently took me here for a birthday dinner. We drove up from Santa Barbara, a lovely scenic drive there. This little gem of a place is tucked into the side of the mountain on old stagecoach road and is an original stagecoach stop from 1838. Teeming with character and ambience, they serve very flavorful robust dishes! Two words...GO... More

Cold Spring Tavern is located in an historic Stagecoach Stop, and it feels like it, in a good way. The food is always wonderful, and you often find tasty surprises like Elk, Rabbit, Venison, and Quail in addition to the ever-popular ribs, burgers, and chili. Staff are friendly and helpful. We have been going to Cold Spring Tavern for 28... More

This place takes you back in time to the Stage Coach Days. It's a well hidden place in the mountains of Santa Barbara. Nice place to ride to on a motorcycle. Very woodsy and live music, great atmosphere all around!!!!! There is also a small restaurant.

Went here for breakfast yesterday and was not disappointed. Although it seems a bit off the beaten "Santa Barbara" track it's not very far at all and well worth a drive into the canyon. The service was great and the food very good as well. Recommend!
