I know that it is quoted that Julia Child's loved this restaurant, but is it really worth the lines? In a day-in-age where cuisine is constantly evolving, this restaurant has stood still. This may or may not be a bad thing depending on your perspective. Terrific traditional food is terrific. But in the case of La Super-Rica, the food is... More

We loved trying La Super-Rica - I promised our daughter we would try it since Katy Perry sings about it! The food is very fresh and prepared to order. The gentleman taking the orders was helpful and friendly. We didn't have a long line when we went for lunch but it was very long by the time we left. It's... More

You might call it a local grill, but they make - while you look - some of the best and most authentic mexican food I have ever had, including Mexico. No white cloth and silverware here, but very cheap and very good.

The line is long and so is the wait. Be prepared to wait for a while. It is completely worth it though. They have amazing food!

Love the food. No place has these flavors! Hate that they close on Tuesday & Wednesday now& there is always a long line to get in.

The broad appeal of La Super-Rica makes it an easy recommendation for visiting guests, and it tops the list a family favorite. From picky kids to health-conscious friends it never disappoints. Never. And we've eaten there since the beginning. The line out front is proof...and no matter how long, ALWAYS worth the wait.

Had to get to this place because of all the hype. Tried a few items and waited to be dazzled. Wasn't. The pork taco was a bit dry. I didn't love the white sauce that the rellano or the tamale was smothered in. It was all good, just not "great". I have heard that Lilly's is better so I'll have... More

as food lovers, my girlfriend and I, always prepare our trips not to only to please our eyes but our senses too. Food is part of what I consider...living for eating well and not eating for living. So when we heard some many good reviews about La Super-Rica Taqueria we decided to make the first stop in Sta Barbara (we... More

We had a wonderful lunch here. Yes, it is a dive but often that just adds to the experience. We had the #7 with tri tip steak, sauteed onions and peppers with bacon. Also the #16 special as mentioned below. They both came with hand made (as you watch) tortillas which were really special. The homemade salsa was fresh and... More
