We stopped here enroute to Morro Bay. The lines weren't long, and the wait was ok This place is cash only- something of importance tome, as I usually dont carry much cash with me.

First went there in the 80's and its still great. Try the chorizo and cheese dish. Unbelievable. Tacos are wonderful. Mexican street food at its best. Good food period.

The place itself is a real gem, small and nonchalant with a charming genuineness to it. My girlfriend and I each had a couple tacos after biking around the city on a particularly hot October afternoon. We waited for a little while on line and while the food was more than satisfactory, I would not say that it stands out... More

Can't remember who recommended this place, but it was good food on a budget, a local favorite. It seemed to be the place where the well heeled go to be with regular folks. It is cash only, which I can't understand considering all the options for paying that are cheap for a business. It always makes me suspect.but the staff... More

If you need to stop at Santa Barbara for lunch on your way from LA to southern wine country, or vice versa to do some shopping or people watching, it's hard to beat this Taqueria for a quick bite. You may have to wait if you get here more than a few minutes after they open, however! I recommend a... More

The food came quickly but the line was long and slow. The word is out and there is always a crowd! Homemade tortillas and a great a la carte menu. If you have the time to stand in the line, the food is worth it.

We're regular clients of this Mexican eatery and waited in line for one hour to place our order. As soon as we ordered, we sat down waiting for our food to come up. A group of four people, obviously favored clients, cut the line and ordered from the back window. Even though we waited another half hour for our food... More
