Because this restaurant was featured on Rachael Ray's program we thought we'd give it a try; big mistake. The food was very ordinary and expensive. We ordered the cold mixed seafood plate, with ceviche that was mostly onion, shredded crab meat that seemed to have been previously frozen, two clams and two oysters (without any dedicated sauce) and small but... more

This is mostly locals mixed with tourists. Most people go there for 4 reasons. You should figure out if they apply to you. First it is a place to catch a glass of wine with friends and stand or sit around in a noisy place and just talk. Second it has the best view in town hence another reason for... more

I read a few mixed reviews and was apprehensive about revisiting after more than 10 years. Our lunch today was perfect. Staff was very attentive and wonderful. Food was as expected and we enjoyed every bite. more

Clam Chowder was amazing.. Bread was a little stale/hard... Girls at reception area had personalities that looked similar to dry stale bread... Would order Clam Chowder to go next time... to avoid looking at the stale bread and the girls at the front for longer than a minute… more

Too hyped.

So we went to Brophy's on our trip to Santa Barbara because of all the great reviews it had on here and a couple other places, not to mention the recommendations of many people we encountered while out on the town. I find that it's usually the places I'm really excited to try, are the ones to always let me... more

We randomly bumped into this place on a Saturday night after getting into town very late. It was a great surprise: kitchen still open at 9:45pm when we got there, friendly staff, great location and view of the port, good vibe with lots of locals having a lot of fun and most of all very good seafood, decent wine list... more

I really liked this restaurant. I was kayaking and came across this place by accident.. I am a middle aged female and was by myself and was treated like a queen...given a nice table outside over looking the water. I had a tuna melt sandwich and asked to substitute the fries and coleslaw for a side sald...not a problem. The... more

This place was a breath of fresh air. We asked to hotel staff where do the locals go to eat good sea food and this was the direction we were pointed in. Even the parking lot staff ( $2 per hr or fraction thereof) which is hard to get around directed us to this place past a lot of other... more

This harbor restaurant is ALWAYS busy. We went there at 3:30 in the afternoon and still had to wait 45 minutes just to get a table! It didn't help that we saw two tables sit empty for 15 minutes. They must have been training a new hostess. We had the clam chowder/salad combo. The salad was below average, but the... more
