May be the best coffee in America. Cappuccino was outstanding. Full, bold and not a bitter note anywhere. Do not Miss!

Every time I'm in Santa Barbara, I get my Cappuccino as many times as possible at Handlebar. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable and makes a great cup of cappuccino. They roast their own beans and, of course, I buy that as well to take home. Great place and I love the small, independent atmosphere

Best coffee spot in Santa Barbara. Muddy Waters is good too but I prefer it here. Strong coffee, very pleasant staff.

I'm not opposed to Starbucks, per se, but they really need to learn something from great coffee shops like Handlebar Coffee Roasters. I went out of my way to come here after seeing them profiled in AAA magazine alongside my favorite local coffee place, Portola Coffee Lab (located in OC). I LOVE Portola, so my expectations were high for this... More

I love the small but neat, modern & convenient store located in the right spot in SB. the owners are amazing and attention is always great and you feel that they enjoy what they do and you can tell when you sip their amazing coffee. I love their latter but their espresso with milk resembles any coffee in italy,Spain or... More

We stopped by this café on a trip up the coast from L.A through to Big Sur. We'd seen reviews on here so planned to stop for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The place was pretty busy by the time we got there at about 10am, clearly the place to be on a Sunday, especially for cyclists! The coffee was... More

What's better than a combination of great coffee and hard-core cycling? Well worth the slight detour off of State Street!

I've been coming here since they opened. We love to support local business, and the coffee is great. Just stopped in again today to meet a business associate, nice casual site for a little informal business meeting outside of the office. Stop in and enjoy.

This was my go-to coffee shop during this summer's SB visit. I didn't explore the menu, usually just getting a brewed coffee to get my day going, but I really like the shop. There's a guy hand roasting coffee in the entranceway every morning, and he says Hi to you when you walk in. The brewed coffee is different every... More

This place makes delicious coffee, welcomes all its customers- even new ones and provides a very friendly, welcoming environment. The owners ( both ex-professional cyclists) take great care to produce high quality coffee and in excellent service. Great tables outside with views of the mountains. Not to be missed! We wish it was where we lived.
