We found this place on tripadvisor and booked for the same night. The location is really nice, beautifully lit in a pretty arcade and stands out from the usual places on State by being a little less 'classic touristy' and mainstream. We ate outside and the ambience and temperature were perfect. We struggled with the menu, partly because we are... More

Stopped in on our drive north for lunch. Agua Fresca and margaritas were great!! Food was fantastic. Have some outside sitting by the turtle fountain, which was kind of cool to watch these little guys swimming around.

We stopped in for drinks and a quick snack, late in the afternoon, before they were really "open". When asked, the bartender mentioned that someone on staff was "experimenting" with a bloody mary mix from kitchen provided charred tomatoes and other items. We gave it a whirl and seriously, they need to bottle this stuff! Spicy, rich - all the... More

We recently had a very nice dinner at Cielito in Santa Barbara. It was a birthday celebration, so we wanted someplace special and Cielito was a nice elegant choice... The menu is very sophisticated, so don't expect ordinary burritos and tacos. They have an extensive cocktail list with some very creative drinks (like a blackberry margarita). The service was excellent... More

I have been talking about this place since I have been back. I had the Sopa de tortilla soup and it was delicious the spices they used were amazing I had the chef special Tacos Dorados de Papa and I had the vanilla bean flan. The tacos were amazing and I do not care for flan that much but this... More

We were out shopping in downtown Santa Barbara and made a quick decision to try this Latin cuisine restaurant located in La Arcada on State Street. What a great find. We both ordered salads that contained, mixed baby greens, heirloom tomatoes and grilled chicken (among other things) and a side of guacamole with chips. The salsa was excellent. The host... More

This restaurant is in a great location - we sat outside in the courtyard overlooking the fountain with the turtles! The waitress helped us to choose suitable dishes. There were 4 adults and we ordered 5 of the dishes. They didn't all come at once, which was great so we could try each one and savour them. Can't remember everything,... More

This tapas style restaurant was fun. We had pork belly tacos, short ribs, and a couple of other items. The food was tasty, but expensive for what you get. The drinks were very good and we sat outside by the fountain in the plaza which was made the experience enjoyable overall.

I'm Mexican, born and raised in Mexico and I am extremely picky when it comes to Mexican restaurants. Most of the times I'm disappointed as soon as I look at the menu (fajitas, u-shaped tacos, yellow cheese on anything, rice and beans served with everything, no thanks) So I was hesitant to go to this one but as soon as... We were looking for a nice place to eat on the fly. Did not do any research. It was Fiesta and crowded in Santa Barbara but we were passing through on our way to a wedding further north. We were lucky to come upon the inner courtyard where Cielito Restaurant is found. We did not have a reservation but were... More
