Really liked this place

Five of us for dinner - arrived in the early evening on the recommendation of a lady in one of the local shops. We had a superb waitress, gave us excellent recommendation. Two of our party split a habanero margarita - it had a real kick and not the alcohol! The chips salsa and guac are very good... read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant out while visiting SB and we had made reservations in advance. Nice outside area upon walking up (fountain and heaters) and it was fairly full of people. When we met the hostess we were not given the option to sit outside and it really was where we should have sat as obviously... More

This was within walking distance of our awesome hotel (Spanish Garden Inn) so an hour prior to arriving I booked a table online easily and quickly. We were greeted, seated and served delicious food, just as efficiently. I couldn`t fault a thing.

Our experience was over the top.... the very best ever! First, I have never given such a wonderful review in my life to any restaurant. As a designer the dinning space itself is award winning in so many ways including location, comfort, lighting and exciting atmosphere. The very exciting dishes, variety of drinks, attention to my quest's special dietary needs... More

This is a really solid restaurant. They have creative California meets Mexico food, and make it easy to share appetizers and deserts. The service was really good too. I wouldn't say it was the best food I've ever had, but I'd eat here again if invited.

My kids and I took my wife to Cielito in Santa Barbara on Mother's Day this year. It was a lunch rather than "brunch" but they served both breakfast and lunch items at 11:00 AM. I had the biscuits and gravy that was unlike anything that I have ever had. The biscuits had jalapenos baked into them and the gravy... More

The guacamole was fantastic, as were the chips. Husband had the crab and shrimp enchiladas with creamy poblano rice. I had the pork tacos and the chorizo tacos. We split everything between us. OMG, so good! Husband had the Chocolate Caramel Semifreddo - sinful!

First of two nights in Santa Barbara and this place appealed due to the 'mexican tapas options. Cool venue with double height ceiling and a fountain out front with live turtles in it. We had a couple of cocktails at the bar but these were mexican themed (smoky and spicy) and didn't go down well. Then we were taken to... More

Tucked away off State Street, this little gem is well worth a visit. This was our first night out in Santa Barbara and it gave us a great welcome. The waitress (I wish I could remember her name) was awesome and really took us through the menu. Her suggestion of the chips and salsa to start while we looked through... More

Cielito has wonderful atmosphere both inside and out. Unfortunately it was too cool to sit outside by the bubbling fountain in the lovely courtyard but inside was even better, the decor is very hip and trendy. Not being a huge mexican food lover I was impressed. The chips, salsa and guacamole were fantastic. Some in our party got the enchilada's... More
