My dining companion and I stopped in at Cielito for Easter Sunday dinner and were most pleased with all facets of the food, service and ambience in every category. Tucked away in a lovely courtyard with stone statuary, brick and tile walkways and a large fountain right in front of their outdoor dining area, the restaurant is attractive and inviting.... More

On a recent trip we ate in a number of Santa Barbara restaurants, and this was our favorite. The restaurant is off the street in a courtyard with shops. We decided to sit outside near the charming fountain--with turtles! The food is wonderful. We shared several small plates from pork belly quesadillas and the house made Guacamole to the Salsa... Food is awesome, wines are great. Service was attentive and patient. Location is nicely set. If weather allows, a table at the patio is recommended.

We had a great bartender, who took her time and let us taste some Mexcals before we made our selections ( silencio and sombra). Our bartender also secured my boyfriend a grapefruit when he said it would go with his mezcal. We also ordered Oaxan grits and the sopesitos, which were delicious. I will go return when in town again.

We stopped by here for some after-dinner drinks and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing ambiance and even better wine. Holy crap, if you like wine, go here and get the St. Luceant Pinot or the Santa Yney Cabernet Blend. Awesome wine.

We were in Santa Barbara for two nights and exploring State Street the first night. The street was full of people - young and older - enjoying the great weather and beautiful street. We happened upon an open mall leading past smaller stores to a fountain with a guitarist playing in front of a restaurant - Cielito Restaurant. Neither of... More

This is truly a cielito (heaven). I visited Santa Barbara this February 2015 and found another beautiful city in California. On my way to my venue, I stopped at Cielito for a quick bite and a martini...what I found was a truly wonderful respite from a long day of travel. From the moment I saw the entrance, I knew this... The restaurant is a truimph in design and layout. My wife had the duck carntes and she loved them and I tasted them as well and concurred. The problem was, that I told the waiter that I did not like spicy foods and was very sensitive to them, and asked him if the Enchilades Congrejo was spicy and he said... More

Try the chicken (Tinga) tacos -- very nice. Pair with the kale salad and you have a very nice meal. The food is tasty without dumping on a lot of cheese or using too much crema. Staff are all very nice. Prices are reasonable. Enjoy!

Everything here is delicious. I could sit outside, drink margaritas and eat homemade guac and salsa with their home made chips all day long. The whole menu is fantastic. The service is great and the location is wonderful. I definitely recommend Cielito to everyone.
