Good early morning breakfast spot

Try the Eggs Rose dish for breakfast or the juevos rancheros. We loved both of these. This is a great breakfast spot in SB.

I had a wonderful breakfast of two poached eggs, homemade multi grain toast and preserves. The atmosphere has a homey feel about it. Struck up a conversation with a local man who gave me some great places to check out in the future.

Loads of different fresh-baked breads and pastries. Have only been there for breakfast, but theirs is one of the best in town. Good coffee and a decent selection of loose teas (oddly, served in a French press). Like many popular places in Santa Barbara, there can be a long wait for a table. But you can usually avoid this with... More

The coffee here is okay. I had the eggs florentine. They were fine. Breakfast was okay, but overpriced for what it is.

We had breakfast today, we hadn't ventured down to D'Angelo in several years. We each ordered "the rose" and there was no consistency to our order, each plate looked very different. One of my poached eggs was cooked perfectly, the other was on the very edge of being raw. The crust on the bread was almost un-cuttable. On the positives:... More

Had the highly recommended "rose" egg dish. They were good, but not sure $17.95 good. We dropped $57.00 for breakfast for 2 with tip. We each had entree, coffee and oj and we split a sweet roll. The food was good, but for the price.....I don't know. We should have just got sweet rolls and coffee. The sour cherry Danish... More

Whenever we go through town we make D'Angelo's a must for breakfast their Eggs Florentine are fabulous. They actually know how to poach an egg properly & pile the spinach on perfect sourdough. They've recently added lovely breakfast sausage. Their pastries & Rudolf Steiner Bread are scrumptious. They serve perfect cappuccinos also.

We stopped by for breakfast before we headed to Santa Ynez for our afternoon of wine tasting. I had an egg sandwich on a freshly made croissant. It's on the expensive side for breakfast but the food was great and it has a nice little area where you can sit outside and eat.

Bottom-line Upfront: What a great place to spend the morning have breakfast or just popping in for bread and a quick omelet. Pros: Happy service. Great food - fast and fresh- only had planned to buy sourdough bread and wound up staying for the huge variety of breakfast choices. Cons: Parking in front limited to 15 minutes, but there is... This place never disappoints. The bread and pastries are incredible. The Poached eggs are perfect every time. They have a poaching machine so they are cooked exactly how you want them.
