We are locals & always get their sourdough mutigrain bread & decided to stay & have breakfast outside w/our dog. We had 4 ingredient omelets that are not fluffy. If you want fruit instead of the very average potatoes it's $3 extra. Waiter said he would give us extra toast, he did not. We asked for 1 item change &... More

I really enjoyed my meal here. It's worth sitting outside, looking at the mountains and seeing the people and vehicles go by if you can ... though that does seem to reduce the quality of service somewhat. The smell of bread when you walk through the doors is out of this world and all of the menu items looked good.

Thank God that we don't live in town cause we'd probably be there EVERY day! While in Santa Barbara for a week in December we would walk to the beach every day (about a mile) and on our return home stop by D'Angelo's. Kinda defeated the benefits of our daily two mile walk:/ Found it on our previous trip, locals... More

The breads here are very very good. They bake overnight and have 20 or so varieties of artisan loaves. The kalamata olive is wonderful. I have never experienced a better bakery when it comes to bread. The breakfast is very tasty but you may have to wait for a table or service might be slow. If your in a hurry... More

This is my place to go if I miss my German Pastries. One of the only places were you can get a real Pretzel and feel like home. It is a charming place for brunch and I like their simplistic style, a good slice of bread with a poached egg and home made fruit spread. It is a little bit... More

I went here with several friends for breakfast after one of us ran the SB marathon. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The menu is pretty big, and I was even able to assemble a nice vegan breakfast for myself (lemon rosemary toast with artichoke spread, and sliced tomatoes--I ran out of toast for the homemade preserves, but it stands alone so... This is a great place for breakfast sitting outside on the sidewalk or along the adjacent allee. Coffee is good and there is a very large variety of carbs for you to enjoy. Breakfast should run you $20 though, but hey this is your weekend away right?

We saw the great recommendations online and in the guides, but after visiting there, we honestly didn't see what all the fuss was about. Perhaps it was because we had high expectations, but nothing struck us as particulary over-average at this restaurant. Quite on the contrary, the service, although nice, was rather slow and the coffee refill came only when... More

The breads and baked treats are great (and the scent of them wafts into Yoga Soup in the same block which makes it hard to concentrate!) <> The various eggs dishes, sandwiches and salads are also terrific.

Every time I visit Santa Barbara I stop by D'Angelo Bakery for their amazing Cafe Americanos. I also try to find a way to rationalize splurging on their wonderful breakfast. Today it was eggs Florentine: sourdough toast, topped sauteed spinach, perfectly poached eggs, and made-from-scratch hollandaise sauce. It took a lot of willpower to stop me from stealing a bite...
