Pricey for breakfast

Had the highly recommended "rose" egg dish. They were good, but not sure $17.95 good. We dropped $57.00 for breakfast for 2 with tip. We each had entree, coffee and oj and we split a sweet roll. The food was good, but for the price.....I don't know. We should have just got sweet rolls and... read more

Whenever we go through town we make D'Angelo's a must for breakfast their Eggs Florentine are fabulous. They actually know how to poach an egg properly & pile the spinach on perfect sourdough. They've recently added lovely breakfast sausage. Their pastries & Rudolf Steiner Bread are scrumptious. They serve perfect cappuccinos also.

We stopped by for breakfast before we headed to Santa Ynez for our afternoon of wine tasting. I had an egg sandwich on a freshly made croissant. It's on the expensive side for breakfast but the food was great and it has a nice little area where you can sit outside and eat.

Bottom-line Upfront: What a great place to spend the morning have breakfast or just popping in for bread and a quick omelet. Pros: Happy service. Great food - fast and fresh- only had planned to buy sourdough bread and wound up staying for the huge variety of breakfast choices. Cons: Parking in front limited to 15 minutes, but there is... This place never disappoints. The bread and pastries are incredible. The Poached eggs are perfect every time. They have a poaching machine so they are cooked exactly how you want them.

Pleasant surprise. We were actually going to a different breakfast place when we spotted this and it was crowded for breakfast. Good sign. The service was excellent and selection of breakfast was fabulous. The ham steak meal was delicious. My wife had a tri berry scone which was big and also yummy. Looks like where all the local people come... More

Stopped here for a coffee and the bread looked so good we had to try some. It was as good as it looked, at last we had found somewhere that knows what real sour dough is. The coffee was ok but could have been better, can't have everything I guess.

We enjoyed a good breakfast which included the Salmon Benedict, an Omelette, Poached egg on rye toast, and a side of baguette and mozzarella. All the dishes and coffee were good. The service was friendly but could be more attentive. The reason I did not give a higher rating is because the cost of our side baguette (1/4 of a... More

We've been to D'Angelo's many times to purchase the freshly made bread-- which is delicious. However this is about their breakfast menu. Their signature dish is "Eggs Rose." You MUST try it. Toasted Kalmata olive sourdough bread topped with homemade Mediterranean artichoke spread and two poached eggs (to order). It just doesn't get any better. A fresh mug of Joe,... More
